This mount is very good as it is longer then the original mount and I can line it up with the rear view mirror. It then less viewing space in the front windshield and it has an added suction power at the base against the window or the additional plate if you do not want to use the winshield.

This is an excellent product for my Tom Tom One since it allows me to better mount the GPS in a more conveniant location. It works so well I purchased another one to use on another GPS.

The first problem that the flexible stem mounting kit solved wasn't even mentioned in the description: unlike the suction cup that came with my Tom Tom One XL-S, this suction device, using a lever method, holds with a death grip. No more having my GPS fall onto the accelerator pedal.

Second, the length and maneuverability of the 7" gooseneck allows me the flexibility to bring the GPS higher (above the Bracketron) and closer to me. It's a product that turns out to be even more useful than you had hoped.

I bought this mounting arm 2 days before a spring break road trip. I had never used this device for long trips and didn't want to hold it or leave it in the seat. Our road trip covered the desert temps, as well as the snow covered mountains of Flagstaff, AZ. Not ONCE, did the mounting arm come loose from the windshield and fall. Even through all the road vibrations the arm stuck like a rock!. For my Ford truck, the arm worked great and I just moved it up the windshield to make it stick out a bit farther without blocking my line of sight on the road.

I would recommend this to other owners without a second thought!

Just bought a 2nd extended arm mount. I use this in my wife's C230 Mercedes, works great since her windshield is at a steeper slope being a sport sedan. I have it setup so the Tom Tom One XL is sitting perfectly on the dash so you don't have that shaking effect while driving. The only thing I would have changed would be to have the AC connector on the right side of the unit instead of the bottom, I have the unit basically sitting on the dash from the arm but it sits on the ac connector sticking out the bottom of the unit.

If this gadget isn't available consider sticking velcro on the bottom of your TomTom and somewhere on your dash or anywhere. Works well.

Works just as well as the one that comes with it. stays on well, only had one or two times when it came off when I was pushing on it to get the TomTom attached.

Tom Tom's stem mount works extremely well. The suction cup mechanism is especially well designed. It also is compatible with the new Tom Tom XL. Everything works exactly as advertised!

GIves great flexibility in terms of placement of the TomTOm unit(s). Very helpful in minivans and other cars where the windshield is far from the steering wheel.

I like this one so much better then the one that came with my tom tom. The old one used to actually fall off when i was driving! But this one has never failed me, even on the worse streets of NYC. This thing really grips!! Mine is set up on the dash instead of the windsheld and its peferct because of the long neck, it extends right to me and i dont have to reach far to hit the screen. Everyone should get this!
