Thomas Marriott displays his 'bandleader' qualities as much as his trumpet skills on this outing, letting his players play. A good mix of originals and well-selected covers, there is a mellower vibe to much of Fexicon than some previous outings, including extended bass solos on back to back tracks. This is rich and wonderful music.
