5.0 out of 5 stars Enthralling Collection, March 16, 2010
This review is from: Flic(k)s: Poetic Interrogations of American Cinema (Paperback)
An enthralling collection of poems based on edgy and classic movies, among them Thelma and Louise, Dracula, Cat People, Psycho, Red River, and The Searchers. The poems fly in and out of the films, capturing portions of plot, commenting sharply on their political and sexual themes, dipping into the biographies (often heartbreaking) of the actors and directors, and the poet's own experiences while watching the films. This collection is a page turner. I loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Looking Glass, March 22, 2010
This review is from: Flic(k)s: Poetic Interrogations of American Cinema (Paperback)
Could not put this book down.I read it, re-read it and it was so potent and right on about the Hollywierd side of film. I recommend it to all film makers so they get a take on what the story is really about interwoven with the author's experience. So much depth, real, surreal, the lines are reading in between the lines!!!
