I have all the works of Pink Floyd and all of Rog's solo albums. I would rate this one as the best for two reasons. First of all the recordings in this album are of near perfect quality, and second the three new songs reveal more of this great musicians heart. His concert tour this fall 2006 showed he is just getting better. We hope the tour will be offered in DVD and CD soon. The only negative is that you can not play Flickering Flame on your computer, to try to slow the ripping of the songs I guess.

This is a great product. It's totally Roger Waters, but with the kind of biting, contemporary (even though nearly
20 years old) lyrics that we saw in The Wall and The Final Cut. And with a handful of live cuts to boot. Songs such as "Flickering Flame" and "Each Small Candle" are as good as anything he's written. Certainly a must have for the Roger Waters fan.

pink floyd could never have existed without the four brilliant musicians playing such heady material.
being a guitarist i watched and studied david gilmour,and realize what an integral part he was as syds replacement.
the group individually has put out some remarkable solo material,however rogers projects are so infectious it is difficult not to presume he drove the floyd.
flickering flame touches on 4 of his solo efforts,and is a winner from start to finish."knocking on heavens door" is an amazing beginning to this collection.songs like "lost boys","the tide is turning" and others are well represented.
the only thing missing is his brilliant work from when the wind blows,however i could be adjusted on that.
the bottom line is roger is the man,and i am loyal to him,and his genious.
a great addition to any floyd fans ,or roger waters fans collection.....

A must have for a real Waters fan. It touches on a little of everything from his solo years.

If you are a PF fan, or you like RW, or you have been lucky enough to see him on tour or you have been wondering whta he "constructed" after Pf, this is a must have, if not, at least, for the new Flickering Flame demo or at least for the 1900 song....

This cd is excellent...although it merely touches on the greatness of Roger Waters and his solo work. There are so many gems on this CD it is hard to resist for any RW fan. I suggest it as a really cool recap for any long time fan.... its mixed very well and the songs seem to flow into one another as if it wasnt a best of cd. For the newbie...its a great start to get into the world of Roger Waters solo work.

NOBODY HAS TAKEN THE TIME TO RATE THIS JOYOUS EVENT? ANY RELEASE BY ROG IS AN EVENT. IF YOU ARE JUST LEARNING ROG, BUY THIS CD. IT'S A GREAT COLLECTION. BUT I SUGGEST YOU BUY ALL ROGER WATERS SOLO MATERIAL. I WOULDN'T RUSH TO GET "THE BODY", BUT ANYTHING ELSE IS A WINNER. HEADPHONES OR REAL, REAL LOUD IS A PLUS. PEACE

This could very well be the best cover of Knocking on Heavens Door ever done to open this Wonderful world of new recordings of solo work, Never heard Demos.. My CD cover is Red? why is this black, and When is Volume 2 Coming,, I know everything he has done, but this snuck by me until about a month ago, Now it is stuck in the car, always on !!Love it !!
Never missed him live since 1975 in NY area as Pink and as Roger Waters.
