5.0 out of 5 stars One of The Best Albums of The Year!! Everybody is SLEEPING!!!, October 29, 2009
This review is from: Flight 360: the Takeoff (Audio CD)
Playaz Circle is a duo that consists of Dolla & Tity Boi. Yes they are those Duffle Bag Boys but I think they have been unfairly grouped in with the artists with no talent. Their first album SUPPLY & DEMAND surprised me because I was also like "oh those Duffle Bag Boys? I'll pass" but when I heard the album I was amazed at how good it was. That was undoubtedly one of my favorite albums of 2007. Their sophomore album FLIGHT 360: THE TAKEOFF is even better than their debut.

Both Tity Boi and Dolla can actually rap. Tity Boi is the one with the most talent in my opinion but Dolla is no slouch. Sonically this is one of the best produced albums of the year and is handled by no name up & comers. That's quite a feat in todays rap world where the super producer still exists. They get meaningful and significant contributions from their guests Bobby Valentino, Lil Wayne, Young Dro, Ludacris, Cee Lo Green (YES THAT Cee Lo Green from the GOODIE MOB), and Raekwon (yes the Chef from the Wu Tang Clan).

The songs follow the "fly" theme. Turbulence, Look What I Got, Stupid, Yeah We Gettin Rich, Can't Remember, Big Dawg, Weight Droppin are all excellent songs. The entire album is quality but if I had to pick a low point it's probably DJ KNOW ME ft. Young Dro but it's not a bad song at all. The best song is as you probably figured the Cee-Lo collaboration GHETTO which effectively "lands" the album. The duo prove that they are more than flossing and being "fly" and Cee-Lo turns in an amazing performance on the chorus. Spoken word artist Sunni Patterson also puts in meaningful work.

Flight 360 is one of the better albums of the year, no doubt about it but it's just a shame that the album is already forgotten even after only being out a little over a month. It's a gem and I fully recommend the album.
