At last, the new Aim album has arrived, and it might well be his best. Once again Andy Turner creates emotional music from the various sounds he weaves together. From the dark urgency of "Walking Home Through the Park" (after dark presumably) to the upbeat "Puget Sound", Aim is able to evoke feelings with his music that most other producers can't pull off. There's music here to make you smile, and give you chills. This time out he's left behind the hip-hop beats and "guest rappers" to concentrate on the warmer side of his music, and it's a wise move I think - this is the music he does best. I think fans of Bonobo, Hint and Jon Kennedy would enjoy this too.

5.0 out of 5 stars aim on target again, January 26, 2007
This review is from: Flight 602 (Audio CD)
yes. andy turner is back & he's back with a vengeance. flight 602 sees him taking it back to the days of cold water music with a sprawling mass of beats, influenced by numerous genres of music; hip hop, funk, jazz, latin...

now there aren't got any guest hip hop MCs, or the sublime kate rogers, this time round, but he does have the supremely talented niko from the grand central camp. she has a very versatile voice & it works well with the melting pot of styles that this album contains.

i'm a big fan of aim & grand central in general, which leads me to be critical of their material as any fan is guilty of, but i can say without a doubt that this will not disappoint. whether you know aim or not, buy this. you will wish you had less fun... peace

These seductively cool tunes could quite easily woo the unknowing, but they remain the same. Not too shabby though....
