Book Description

January 1999
The struggle between the Amalgamation and the evil Consortium heats up as rebels assault the planet Quatro Cinco. Lieutenant Nancy Coy (Marina Sirtis, Counselor Deanna Troi, Star Trek: The Next Generation) is assigned to rehabilitate Kurk Manly once the greatest and most handsome starship pilot in the galaxy -- now reduced to a hopeless drunk -- and put the interstellar kibosh on the rebellion. Deep dark plots, bone-rattling space battles, and rollicking Airplane-flavored humor combine with a wonderful original score to make this feature-length story a treat for the ears that will sweep you away!

Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile

In this comic piece of science fiction a sexy lady is sent to babysit an alcoholic space jockey on an important mission. Very much in the growing tradition of contemporary audio drama, the production features silly gags, serviceable acting and a richly textured sound picture. Oddly, the guest artist, Marina Sirtis of "Star Trek," gives the weakest performance, perhaps because her vocal style, absent her physicality, comes off as leaden. Science fiction buffs and very young listeners will enjoy this most. Y.R. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine

5.0 out of 5 stars Marina Sirtis and the members of the Radio Repertory cast, July 4, 2001
This review is from: Flight of the Bumble Bee (Audio Cassette)
Lieutenant Nancy Coy serves the Amalgamation, a league of planets threatened by the Consortium. When the planet Quatro Cinco is attacked, Lieutenant Coy is assigned to Kurk Manly, a once famous starship pilot who has become a hopeless drunk. It's up to Lieutenant Coy and Kurk Manly to somehow overcome sinister plots, deadly space battles, and even their own military hierarchy to save the planet and preserve the Amalgamation. Marina Sirtis and the members of the Radio Repertory cast perform wonderfully to provide a thrilling, very highly recommended, science fiction adventure that is heavily laced throughout with humor, action, music and sound effects.

An awesome experience in audio. You can see the entire story unfold before you... with your eyes closed! The originality of the whole thing from the characters to the sound is wonderful. The original score by Angelo Panetta is a treat for your ears. Don't miss it!!!

Awesome! This book is hilarious! From the wars of Quattro Quattro to captain Kirk Manly, this is a never ending laugh adventure! The robbery scene is hilarious. To hear Marina Sirtis (troy from star trek) is rather neat also.
