An experiment in passion...or proof of love?,
This review is from: Flight of Fancy: American Heiresses (Paperback)
This book was a really good read IMO. It was about and American heiress, Hannah, who loved science experiemnts and not the marriage mart her mother wanted her to participate in. And,Benjamin,a scientist low on funds who happened to have a title...he was an Earl. The two meet on the Eiffle Tower while both conducting a scientific experiment. Both are arrested for not having permits to conduct them, and they are sent to jail where they make a bargain of marriage after talking for awhile. He for her money, She for his title and to save her family from a scandal. This is a wonderful tale of two people not experienced in the ways of courtship and flirtation, coming together and falling in love. It also has a little adventure thrown in to make things interesting. I'm now looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I really enjoyed this novel, the first in a series about American heiresses. This one is about the oldest daughter, who is a science geek. She ends up married to a science geek who happens to be a lord. Both are equally clueless about human relationships, and struggle to get their act together. It's fun to see them learning what love means.I can't wait to read the other books in the series! |
