3.0 out of 5 stars Not their best.., November 18, 2004
By
This review is from: Flight of the Wounded Locust (Audio CD)
I would say that if you are looking to check out the Locust, steal their cds off of your friends and copy all the songs onto your computer and then burn an 80 track cd because paying 15 bucks for 10 minutes of music does not satisfy my money to music ratio.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Locust but not because (to quote some bloke above) they are "more hardcore" than every other band. Just because they can fit their message into a 40 second burst and their live shows are unbelievable.

In the end, don't purchase this cd unless you are rich.

4.0 out of 5 stars JUST GREAT, April 29, 2002

First off, the Locust are completely great. They are good musicians and you can make out the words after a few listens. Best powerviolence punk I've ever heard. They are a sonic assault to your eardrums, and other senses might be tantalized as well. I suggest the self-titled own over this own (personal opinion, doesn't mean anything) but you should probably hear these guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Album Ever, April 10, 2005
This review is from: Flight of the Wounded Locust (Audio CD)
I'm probably the only person who liked this better than the Plague Soundscape. I just thought the songs on this album had a little bit more depth. Alas the Hypocondriacs are here to wait with you in the lobby and Glueing Carpet to you Genitals does not make you a Cantelope are probably my favorite of all Locust songs. This was right before their old drummer Dave Astor left to be with Catil Decapitation and Gabe took over on drums. I thought this was by far Daves best drum work, and even though Gabe is better....Dave was pretty rockin on this album. To bad catil decapitation kinda stinks. This album has an insane keyboard song that is just stupid catchy. This Radio is Surgery and Ripped Wall of Miniabbs and also high points. If you like The Locust, you definitely want this. If you don't....why are you reading this? Seriously?
