4.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful page-turner
This author really has a unique style. He's not like any author I know -- totally original in his use of language. Book is beautifully written (almost like poetry at times) and sometimes cryptic, but gripping. I also read his earlier novel, Secrets, which a friend raved about after hearing him at a reading, and liked it a lot, too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time reading this one!
Totally a waste. Everything about it was totally confusing. The plot was null and void. Can't see why the author even bothered. Wish there was a lower rating other than a one star.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caribbean Obeah at work in Greece?, February 8, 2005
This review is from: A Fling With a Demon Lover (Paperback)
This is the kind of fiction that makes us in the Caribbean proud. Mr. James has given us a masterful suspense story that works at every emotional level. The mysterious Greek characters gave me thrills... that evil little girl. I still have nightmares. I easily give this work the best rating possible. From his website I see that he has many short stories, but i am looking forward with great anticipation to his next novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous and Exotic, January 27, 2001
By A Customer
This book is amazing. The author captures exactly how an independent woman on a solo escapist holiday might feel and behave. The author casts an exotic, and sometimes erotic, and sometime dangerous atmosphere that's just captivating. Write more books, author!
