5.0 out of 5 stars HEARTBROKEN
I have been following this series since the beginning. I thought it lagged off with the lastone but this one very much entertained me. I was soo heartbroken about what happened with scratch. I love this series and could see it being on HBO or showtime. I would reccomend this book and it got a 4.5 star rating for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars SICK AND TIRED
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THIS LONG!!!!!!DRAGGED OUT SERIES. SHE IS A RIP OFF AUTHOR. SHE MAKES HER BOOKS SHORT SO SHE CAN MAKE MONEY OFF HER CUSTOMERS. WILL YOU PLEASE START A NEW BOOK PLEASE. THIS SERIES REMINDS ME OF THE SOAP OPERAS, WHERE ALL THE CHARACTERS HOW OUTLIVED THEIR PURPOSE. SHE WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE GETTING ANYMORE OF MY MONEY.

I am a big fan of the Flint series I have all the books and will continue to purchase them until there is some closure.Yet I was a little disappointed in this book,The beggining started off really slow and repetitive. It really didnt pick up till the end and some parts were slightly predictable.I was even more frustrated with the two main characters,Malek and Hal,especially Hal..Her innocence and lack of street knowledge was cool in the first part of the series, but now she is just plain dumb. And I say that because of what she did at the very end(I wont ruin it for those who havent read it) Im finding myself more drawn to Tasha's character than Hal's.And Im gald the 7th book will focus more on Tasha. You will also be surprised at the number of deaths that occured which I wasnt expecting.

Im also a reader who notice alot of details and I found it ironic that the news reporter was named "Anari Simpson"

Other than that it was a decent read but the drama is far from over!

3.0 out of 5 stars I'M DONE WITH THEM, November 2, 2009
This review is from: Flint: A King is Born, Book 6 (Paperback)
You know I must admit that the series just drawn you in! But at this point I am getting so tired of those two I am for real! How long is she going to drag this out? Well at least she did not say there was going to be a new book at the end of this book. I hate to say but if this is the end of the series it was a crappy way for it to end! And if there is more to come.......I WILL NOT BE A READER!

2.0 out of 5 stars Crazy ending, March 15, 2010

I was really disappointed in Malek and Hal's decision making. To say they are supposed to be "street wise" they both lacked common sense. Why would you plan on moving close to a city where you have so many enemies? Why let anyone know where you live, even if they are your so called "right hand man?" Then to top it off, the couple goes on a trip to the islands and Malek gets swindled by a guy he just met for $$$$$ lots of money. Your not "gangsta", your just naive! For the readers that are planning to buy this second to last book of the Flint Series, be prepared to want to slap Malek and Hal's face.

5.0 out of 5 stars It keeps getting better and better, October 27, 2009
This review is from: Flint: A King is Born, Book 6 (Paperback)
I love this entire series and Flint 6 just keeps the fire blazing. Haleigh and Malek are like the Romeo and Juliet of the ghetto and I can't help but cheer them on. It was a quick read and I loved every minute of it. The only complaint I have is that Treasure could have made all of the books in the series longer, but who am I kidding, I'm going to support her no matter what even it the series ends up being 20 freaking books. I love the Flint Series and Treasure Hernendaz brings the pain with this new one.
