5.0 out of 5 stars Sending it to my grandkids August 30, 2012
Format:Paperback
Flip Flap Floodle is a cute little story for any cute little children in your life. The lively, colourful pictures will grab a toddler's eyes, and if you can read a few notes of music, you can whistle Flip's tune.
The simple story line is just right for the age group, and is readily adaptable to the parent doing a little acting, encouraging the child to do the same.
Like any good children's story, this one teaches lessons. In simple words, embedded in a lot of fun, are the messages: be careful, don't trust the Mr. Foxes of your world; act with strength and resolution in the face of adversity; never give up.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kristi's Book Nook February 8, 2013
Format:Paperback
Have you ever heard a duck play a flute? Flip Flap Foodle is a happy duck who does indeed play a tune on a flute. He wants to share his song with everyone. His mother warned him to be careful of Mr. Fox and to be home before dark. He attempted to share his tune with Mr. Bear but Mr. Bear was just too busy. When Flip encountered Mr. Chicken he was happy to hear a song. Flip was so excited he just knew he would make his grandmother proud. As he made his way to home, Flip was so involved playing his flute that he hadn't realized he had ended up into parts of the woods where Mr. Fox lurked. Little did Flip know he would have to play the flute for the sly Mr. Fox, but would that be enough for him to save himself? You'll have to read the story to find out.

Flip Flap Floodle is a light-hearted adventure for any early reader. Simple sentences and colorful illustrations make for a quick and delightful read.
