Just got these cards to help us in learning elementary spanish. The cards are great with the pronunciation right under the word and the english translation below. The pictures on the front side are great too, not cartoons, but real photos. Very helpful, I hope there will be more sets.

These flash cards are the perfect complement to the books. They are so much fun that my three-year-old is constantly asking to play. What a great way to reinforce the learning! I can't wait for more!

These cards are great for kids under 10.
You can flash the picture side, say the English, and the kids say the word/phrase en espanol. In no tme, they'll have all the words/phrases memorized.
The phonetic spelling on the cards insures the words are not mispronounced.
However, if you're an adult and NEED to speak spanish sentences, this won't help you much.
I'll give it 5 stars because I think it's an excellent learning tool for children.
Note to the author:
Senora Gose: you should make flashcards for adults.
I think a separate set of flashcards for shopping/work/travel would be VERY useful.
(BTW, check the card for "Where is it?" pron: dohn-deh-es-stah - you left out the "es")

These are the first flash cards I have seen with phonetic spelling! The design of the cards perfectly teach association between the image and the Spanish word! The images are very precise and fun to look at.
When my kids see a cat gato comes to mind instead of c a t and then gato. The design of the cards teach one how to "think in Spanish".
Again, Senora Gose has applied her unique teacing ability through this product. I would rcommend this for adults as well as children. These are a must have if one is using her Spanish Curricula. I will be looking for a deck of 1000!

As a mom, speaker of Spanish, and educator with a degree in teaching second languages to children, I would highly recommend this set of flash cards. I searched for quite a long time to find flashcards to meet our needs. As a Spanish teacher, I needed flashcards that would enable my students to practice their words at home CORRECTLY. These unique set of flashcards offer the pronunciation of each word which enables my students and their families to repeat the correct pronunciation at home without me being present. The highest compliment I can give, I use them in my own home with our children.

I didn't read close enough the size of these cards. They are smaller than a deck of playing cards. It is true the pictures are great and having the English phonetic spelling out is great. They are thick and durable. They are not rounded edges like shown on the box, they are sharp square corners making them harder to handle. I guess after month of use it will get better. They don't even come in a box like playing cards. For Ten dollars that would have been nice. Even cards from the dollar store have that.

They are helpful but it is such a limited 48 words and the cost is too high. I am getting more use for The First 1,000 Words in Spanish book I got here at Amazon.

Unfotunately not what I expected. My 1st language is Spanish and I am trying to teach my kids. Flashcards have proven to be effective. The Spanish and the pictures in these cards is good. The problem is that the words are not on the same side as the picture. I try to tape them to walls so practicing Spanish can happen on the spot. You can not do that with these cards. Also they are very small. Overall ok.
