What is it with Altman? Previous shock therapy gone wrong? Hyper-sensitive to caffiene and not aware of it? Maybe he chews gum with the foil wrap still on. Whatever his muse, this is a hilarious album and like the Steven Wright album, deserves re-release. Similar to Wright, Altman tends to tread the absurdist path of humor. But he is more of a story-teller than Wright. Don't let that make you think he tells Cosby-esque stories, though. There is more of a stream-of-consciousness sensation to this album than many comedic albums. In one of his routines in this collection, he describes his approach to stand-up: He just stands on stage and goes nuts! If you like energetic and boisterous, this will prove a fine addition to your collection, one of your most-listened-to. Some cursing, a few sexual innuendos (Speaking as a televangelist: "He gave me a homosexual look." That sort of thing.) But if you are able to get into PG-13 movies you can get into this.

I wore through two copies of this on cassette years ago, and thought that I'd never be able to listen to this comic genius again, but found it used on Amazon!! I have virtually every great comedy album, cassette & CD put out over the past two decades and this one in particular is in the top three! Listening to Altman describe his pissed off dad is worth the price of the album alone.

There are a few "F" bombs sprinkled throughout, but the material is top shelf and certainly a timeless piece of work which sounds as fresh today as it did 18 years ago!!! Jeff is clever, insightful and quite frankly, very clean. This is one fantastic comedy bit that doesn't need to rely on foul language to help carry it along, and because of this it's content will remain very entertaining for generations to come. BUY IT NOW!!!

Jeff Altman? Guy from Nurses, Pink Lady and Jeff? Comedy Genius. Jeff Altman is still a unrecognized talent in the comedy community, this album from the late 1980's showcases him making fun of Jimmy Swaggert "Please, whip me some more!!", his first sexual experience, the difficulties of a pregnant wife, and his love for a "Butt Steak". 22 pounds,, Sweet and Meaty!Yeehi! And how his date can outdrink him. Great stuff, if you can find this, anywhere, get it!! Better than anything else from this time period.

I wish Jeff Altman could be seen regularly on Comedy Central. He is one of the funniest comics around and although he is not technically in retirement, he is not seen as often these days. What a shame. Anyway, I'm glad I bought this CD. I will listen to it many times over the next few years and laugh my head off each time.I'll Flip You Like a Cheese Omlette
