one of my favorite fun Japanese texts,
By Paul K. "Building local community resilience" (San Mateo, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Flip, Slither and Bang: Japanese Sound and Action Words (Power Japanese Series) (Paperback)
Filled with great examples of onomatopoeic words in Japanese. Very colloquial usage examples and a nice selection of terms. Great book if:* your Japanese is pretty good and you'd like to take it to the next level * you're learning Japanese and want to better understand collequialisms you're hearing * you don't know any Japanese, but you like the sound of it, and you'd exposure to this fun side of it Some of my faves include: - dota-bata - goro-goro - shikkari This book is really a treat, and as far as I know it's one of a kind. Enjoy! |
