I purchased two of these rope light sets to use around my inground pool. The first set worked and looked pretty good, but the second set never came on. Then the first set stopped working, so I wound up sending both sets back for a refund. The seller, SmartHome, was pretty good about sending me postage paid return labels and refunding my money. Also, when I've had rope lights before (120v) they were made from hard plastic and were about the diameter of a dime. These rope lights should be renamed "rope ribbons" because they are very slim, nearly lay flat. I would not recommend them.

i though this was going to be a good product however i placed it in the direct sun for 90% of the day and when i cut it starts going dim and within an hour you cant even tell their on

although i have not had the problems of it not staying lit, after being in the sun for around 5 or 6 hours, we are getting about 7-9 hours on time. problem i have with them is these are not as bright as 2 other cheap sets i bought from another website
