5.0 out of 5 stars glam bam rock n roll
what are you waiting for. rock n roll has been re-invented by one of the most under-rated bands in rock history. this cd is one for all cool people with real ear buds to buy and say i discovered a band with real balls to the wall sound. its like cheap trick meets the sex pistols, and oh yeah, all you alex harvey fans climb aboard for the rock n roll sensation. its sad...

3.0 out of 5 stars Flipp - self-titled (Hollywood Records)
What ever happened to this novelty-grunge band? I remember this self-titled CD by Flipp - aren't they the band that wanted to release this CD with a Who cover of a sedate version of "My Generation" and Pete Townsend flatly refused to give them permission to even release it? What ever happened to this novelty-grunge band? I remember this self-titled CD by Flipp - aren't they the band that wanted to release this CD with a Who cover of a sedate version of "My Generation" and Pete Townsend flatly refused to give them permission to even release it? Believe they played the song during their live sets just to spite Townsend. Tunes here I found most inspiring were "I Wish I Was A Planet", "Another Boring Day", "Schizo Boy", "Slag" and the rocking "Half A Brain". Line-up: Rynn Arens-guitar & vocals, Freaky Useless-bass, Bennett Salvey-organ and Kilo Bale-drums. To picture what Flipp is like onstage, try to imagine Cheap Trick on a off-night with Johnny Rotten as the guest frontman. Sounds smashing, doesn't it? Might appeal to fans of Less Than Jakes, Groovie Ghoulies and Johhny Socko.

5.0 out of 5 stars Demented love children, April 21, 2003
This review is from: Flipp (Audio CD)
I've liked Flipp since I first saw their video for The Who's "My Generation" on Modern Rock Live. I thought they had promise, and this CD shows that they do deliver. In a slightly bizzare, cracked way.

Now if only I had half a brain...

5.0 out of 5 stars Flipp: Cheap Trick meets the Sex Pistols..., April 5, 1999
By A Customer

I first heard of the band when they opened up for Cheap Trick. I was thoroughly impressed with the stage show. Simply stated: the best opening act I have ever seen. Their debut album was just as good. This is a must for anyone who likes good fun rock and roll.

This is a great CD. If you miss Weezer (like I do) then you will love this CD. It is fast and fun to the very end. I should also mention that it contains the song "I Don't Care" from one of the greatest movies of all time- Chasing Amy.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!!! I'm a schizo boy!!!, July 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Flipp (Audio CD)
This cd is nothing ground breaking but it is amazing in the fact from track 1 to track 11 it never gets boring(no shoegazing). The first song I wish I was a planet is and instant sing-along all day song. By schizo boy you begin to question you metal abbility. Than to change a beautiful song about life. After getting romantic on Come Unglued the band rocks their pants off with Half a Brain and Times of My life...this cd is a must for anyone who likes cheap trick, spacehog, power-pop(weezer), or just like rocking out and having a good time. 1000000000000 stars!
