I am a new teacher striving for engagement. I have a good rapport with students but know "playing school" when I see it. I've read most of the flipping books available and believe this is the most comprehensive in technique and style. It's also loaded with hyperlinks (Kindle version) that I can look over as I read to know what might work best for me. I read all the content areas and found plenty I could translate to my humanities studies. Well worth the money and time.

This is an excellent book - short but VERY helpful to me. This is the second time that I have read it. The first time, I prepared lectures using a SCORM package. I teach eight undergraduate and graduate classes, and the SCORM represent about 50 hours/class. Now I am preparing to launch forth into flipping the classroom.

This book is jam-packed with practical ideas for teachers who want to turn flipped classrooms into flipped-mastery classrooms. There are subject-specific chapters that give ideas for flipping in ways that YOU can use. Resources abound. If you are new to flipping, you might want to get this for ideas and inspiration. However, it might overwhelm you if you haven't gotten started down the flipped path just yet.
I recommend this for any teacher looking to take their flipped classroom to the next level. There's a lot of good pedagogy regardless of whether you are flipping or not.

I've met Aaron Sams and Jon Bergman, sat through sessions of theirs, read their book, and flipped my classroom. I thought I was doing well, but this book showed me how much more there is to flipping and so many clever approaches to the practice. If you have any interest in flipped learning at all, then you need this book. You won't regret buying it. If you are a principal, you need to buy copies for all of your teachers, and start flipping your PD. Check out the flipped learning website and podcasts. They are great as well.

I have read several books on education and teaching, but often times, they fall short of actually giving good ideas of what to do. This boo, however, is full of practical ideas for flipping a classroom. I was blown away by the great ideas presented by Kate Baker, Cheryl Morris, Andrew Thomasson, and many others. What's more, these people are not only mind-blowing educators, but they are also extremely kind and generous. They can all be reached on Twitter, and they respond to any and all inquiries about their amazing teaching. If you are considering flipping your classroom, I recommend reading this book.

This is a very useful resource to share with teachers. I am an instructional coach for secondary level teachers in a variety of content areas. When I talk to them about flipped learning, they want to know what it really looks like in THEIR curricular area. This book has "something for everyone" -- many content areas (e.g. language arts, math, science, etc) with practical ideas for implementation included.

Examples are practical and useful. Examples are by subject area which helps if you just want to read about your subject area. At the same time, it also covers elementary school levels. The writers are honest and do not hold back (good, bad, and the "still working on it".)

Jason Bretzmann's Flipping 2.0 takes Bergmann's book, "Flip Your Classroom" to another level. Both books are excellent for the teacher who is interested in the flipped model, and Bretzmann's book takes the ideas of flipped model above and beyond in all subjects. Bretzmann puts together the right authors' articles for why the flipped model works. This book covers all major subject areas: Social Studies, Math, Language Arts, Specials, Science, etc. and the articles and suggestions are well laid out and well written. As a nine year social studies teacher who uses the flipped model, this book does an exceptional job of illustrating how to both instill and assess students in a flipped model. I highlighted this book in practically every chapter and feel the read is both easy and insightful for educators who want to learn and begin practicing a 21st century idea in education.

I can see educator's using this book as a stepping stone into creating their own flipped room and then collaborating with both Bretzmann and Bergmann on the next idea: Flipped 3.0!
