This is a great addition to the Flippy family. The first few books were lovely but simple board books for babies or toddlers but this one is more colorful, more advanced, and more fun for older kids. It is a nice story about all the fun things to see across the USA. We had a great time reading it to our son and I'm sure it will become a Flippy favorite. It surely deserves a "flippy award".

My kids love this Flippy book. They know all the character names by heart. With only one copy in the house, there is usually an arguement over who gets to take it to bed at night. The bright illustrations are precious. And I love the story line on a road trip...perfect for summer family vacations. Hope to see more from Flippy in the future!

What a great expansion of the Flippy series! I got the earlier books for my nieces, who adore them. This book branches out a bit and takes us all over the place, teaching kids about how much fun adventures with your friends and family can be. The text is a bit richer than the earlier books, which is wonderful for those children who are learning to read. Can't recommend these books highly enough!!

Fun rhymes and colorful pictures show us the wonderful adventures Flippy and his buddies find, as they road trip across the USA. The beach, Dixieland, Flippywood, Manhattan, and other places come alive through the sights, sounds, and smells Flippy encounters.

An enjoyable read that kids will love, Flippy Goes on a Road Trippy is entertaining as well as educational, opening horizons to places as yet unseen. You're sure to enjoy the ride!

'Flippy Goes on a Road Trippy' documents a cross-country trip through the United States taken by Flippy and his friends in colorful detail. The rhymes are zany and the illustrations are bright and exciting. It would make a great gift for any child, but would be particularly special for children in families who travel. This book is a fun read with engaging illustrations that your child will want to look at over and over.

Our 3 year old grandson loves the colorful illustrations and rhyming words of this story. It is very captivating!

Besides being a huge Flippy fan myself, I can tell you that the Flippy books make the BEST baby shower gifts! It is no exaggeration to say that I have given the Flippy books to all of my friends who have had wee ones over the past three years and all of them are now hooked on Flippy! One of my friends can recite all three of the board books by heart because her daughter has made her read it so many times! And now, with the new book, my problem of--"what do I get the babies for their birthdays?"--has been solved!!! Thanks John, Dawn, and Chanler!!!

And once again, i would like to say up front that I am one of the coauthors of this book too. Way back in 2001, my wife Dawn and I were driving across the country from Los Angeles to Baton Rouge, La. for her to meet my family. And it was on this road trip home that we came up with the idea for Flippy the amazing tadpole who can turn into anything! From the very beginning we have wanted to write "Flippy Goes on a Road Trippy." This is a hard cover book with actual pages...and has a lot more story and silly rhymes then our board books. Sort of the natural progression for Flippy fans as they get a little older. Chanler our illustrator really seemed to be ready to make the pictures more detailed...and the result, we think, is just flippy-phenomenal!!! "So hop in the car and away we will go...as Flippy rolls out for the open road show!" Ride along with Flippy and Friends as they visit, New Orleans, Texas, The Grand Canyon, Fabulous Las Flippy Nevada, Flippywood California, Hawaii, Seattle, and so many other amazing places before they head back home to the swamp.
