3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet story
This was a sweet story, but unfortunately, I really didn't enjoy it as much as I normally do a story by Celeste Norfleet. I do not feel that I ever really got to know much about the characters. There wasn't as much passion or romance as I'm used to from this author. The story never really came together for me, but that will not stop me from being a huge Celeste...

1.0 out of 5 stars I really didn't care for this story, November 25, 2010

I don't know if it was just me or if it was really the story but there was no connection. There was no wow moment that made me scream "awe" or "I can't believe it" or "how could she/he". The two charaters were boring from beginning to end. I wanted more from this story and kept turning the page because I kept expecting more. Sadly enough it never delivered. I don't think I'll be reading this again.

Rating for this book 4.5

I so enjoyed reading this book but that is nothing new, I love Celeste writing and she has done it again with "Flirting with Destiny". Celeste tell the story of Jacqueline Murphy she is a Special Event Planner for the City of Paradise Cove, Arizona who hope to one day have her own business. Jacqueline only problem is that she doesn't like Friday the thirteenth. Now I know there area a lot of people who doesn't like that Friday the thirteenth for what ever reason. As growing up my father use say "don't split the pole", and for Jacqueline if anything bad happen to her it was always on Friday the 13th.

On this particular Friday the 13th she meet Greg Armstrong.........boy that name just say something about him that he is TALL DRINK OF WATER. Before the night is over she will get to meet Greg up close and personal.

Greg Armstrong is a high-powered attorney in Washington who come to Paradise Cove to relax. Greg who realize he was following in his father footstep working all the time and not taking time out to relax. Greg realize that he didn't want to die at a early age like his father and on the advise of his doctor took some time off from his high pressure job.

For Greg he was not looking for fall in love because he knew he would be going back to his job in Washington but fate has a way of stepping in when you least expected. For Jacquelin the last thing she was looking for is another romance especially on Friday the 14th. You know Murphy's Law, "f anything can go wrong it will" that is how Jacquelin fell about Friday the 13th.

Now just to prove Jacquelin right about the Friday the 13 being a bad date for her on her way home from the party a black cat run out in front of her car and then she hit the back of this car which just happen to be a Black Jaguar (my dream car just though I would throw that in....smiling) and the owner of the car turn out to be none other then Greg Armstrong...........what that Destiny................

Now I can't tell you to much because then I would have told you the whole book but if you buy the book you will find out how Greg made Jacquelin realize that Friday the 13th was the best day of her life because it was the day they fell in love.

Greg do have two brothers so who knows we may be seeing these Armstrong again, at least I hope so.

Smooches

Louise

I just finished reading Flirting With Destiny. It was a good read. There wasn't a whole lot of action in the story and yet it held my attention. The main characters are Jacqueline and Gregory. I can appreciate the fact that sometime we get so caught up in our jobs that we forget to live the rest of lives. This is a reminder to stop and smell the roses. You never know what or who you might find along the way!

I really enjoyed Jacqueline and Gregory's story. It took me three days to read this book. I loved that Gregory was willing to help Jacqueline overcome her obsession with Friday the 13th. It didn't hurt that the main character and I share the same name. That meant that I could live vicariously through the character in the book :-). I am a big fan of Celeste Norfleet and this was an amazing book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Love Story, January 14, 2011
This review is from: Flirting with Destiny (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book. The male character was very sweet and endearing. Although there was not as much passion compared to some of the other books I have read by this author, I still thought it was a good read and the diaglogue was well written. I will continue to be a Celeste Norfleet fan. She definitely has a talent for penning great stories.
