Must have for blade micro heli's, February 16, 2010

It's great to always have a charged battery ready. I think the price for the 4 port charger at $40, plus the AC adapter for another $15, gets a little unreasonable. When you can get the 4 port charger, Ac adapter, and 6 batteries with the Blade MSR BNF for $129, if you look. If you do the math, thats like getting the MSR for $50! And you probably wanted one anyway! So now you would have 7 or more batteries, and at least 2 micro heli's, and with this charger you could always be flying!

Double Check Power Supply - Does not like 12 volts, August 7, 2011

When using multiple E-flite devices, it is very important to always check which power supply you are using. If your wife moves your Blade SR charger's power supply and places it with your 4-Port charger because she's "tired of this crap on her counter", don't assume that just because it says E-flite that it's the right one. The voltage for the 4-port is 6 volts while the Blade SR is 12 volts. Imagine my surprise while I was in the bathroom when I heard a frantic knock on the door and the exclamation that one of the batteries just exploded and shot flames up. Two batteries destroyed and the charger no longer works. So, while this is a great charger, I highly recommend checking the labels before each use.

Keeps you flying - but it's too big, January 3, 2012

This is a great charger having four ports. With the 110/120 mah batteries and a set of 5 you could pretty much keep flying. Things I like are multiple independent charge ports with individual indicator LEDs. No more trying to remember "which pile is charging and which are charged" as with the single port charger. And you get to keep flying a lot longer. What I don't like is primarily the size. This thing is huge and carves out a big chunk of your desk and also flight box. I understand that for batteries you'd need D-cells (or at least C-cells) to be able to cycling through batteries. What I'd like is for this to be a compact four (or more) slot charger (put it in a case the size of the single port) and have a separate battery box. As mine mostly lives in the bonus room the perfect combo for me would be {four+ ports; AC adapter} and I'd skip the battery holder. Others may want it all for flexibility - but please separate out the battery holder. It's also a bit expensive and for the price should be at least separate {4+ ports; AC adapter; battery box} With the newer larger batteries coming out (eg 150mah) and Heli's that suck them up quickly it would be nice to have more ports and maybe a charge rate option. In short - it's useful if not necessary - but bulky and a bit pricey.
