I love these ear Flents!
My ears/sinuses are extremely sensitive to pressure changes. I use these when we drive in hilly and mountain areas. The shape of the Flents Flitemates are very comfortable. They are soft and don't have the hard rubber ridges found on the "EarPlane" brand. I can wear the Flent Flitemates for hours, whereas the EarPlanes become painful in the ears after about 30 minutes.

I think that the EarPlanes are a bit better for me during airplane landing. I can use the Flents during take off or during turbulence, but I go back to the EarPlanes for the landing.

By the way, if you are new to using Flents or EarPlanes for ear air pressure regulation -- you do not need to leave the plugs in during the entire flight. Just put them in at take off and keep them in until you reach cruising altitude. Then you can take them out. But, if you notice turbulence or the pilot saying they need to go down for a bit, put the plugs back in until the cruising stabilizes again. And, of course, put them back in as soon as the plane starts its descent. As I mentioned, Flents work for my ears during takeoff and normal flight, but descent is usually too much for my ears/sinuses unless I use the EarPlanes brand.

Oh, also -- I use the Flents over and over forever (until I lose them). You don't need to throw them out after every use. This is also true of the EarPlanes. I use them over and over, no problem.

For car travel, the Flents are perfect. Nothing bad to say about them.

Overall, I highly recommend this product.
I can't find them in stores at all. I like these so much that I bought a batch of them from Amazon because I am worried they will stop making them.

Pressure reducing flight earplugs have been life changing for me. I've had ear problems since I was a kid and have had many flights with tear-inducing descents. I used to use the Earplanes brand but found them to be very painful after any length of time wearing them. Because of my sensitivity to pressure, I choose to leave the plugs in for the entire flight (though you can take them out after reaching cruising altitude and put them back in before descent begins). Finding the Flents brand has been wonderful! They're comfortable and also can be cleaned (with rubbing alcohol) for reuse. Of note, my ear doctor told me I do not need to "blow out" my ears before putting them in, something the Earplane directions tell you to do. I recommend these Flents earplugs over the Earplane brand. Fly with confidence!

I get a lot of pain in my ears during landing and I've tried several different kinds of inflight earplugs. These definately work the best and are the easiest to get in and out. They are also more comfortable than the other plugs because they don't have that accordion shape. I just wish they were more available in stores. I used to be able to find them at walgreens, but not anymore.

I was a little skeptical when I bought these because I wasn't sure if they would work or not. My 7 year old daughter has really horrible ear pain every time we fly. She is usually crying during the entire flight. She uses gum and that helps a little, but these actually worked great. I was very impressed. She was able to put them in herself and they stayed in the entire flight. After we landed she put them in the little carrying case that was provided and stored them for the next flight. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who has pain when flying. They really do work.

I've tried other earplugs for flights and these are without a doubt the most comfortable. The others I've used stick out from your ears and it's very inconvenient to have headphones on. I can no longer find Flents in the stores either. Hopefully the drug stores will carry them again.

The last few times I've flown I've suffered extremely painful ear pressure issues, where it would take up to a day for my ears to pop and everything sounded like I was underwater. Chewing gum and other tricks were useless. I learned about these earplugs in time to order them for a recent cross-country trip. It was an amazing difference! There was no painful pressure buildup and no hearing impairments once I landed. These earplugs do reduce noise while they're in. No problem hearing the announcements on the plane, but harder to hear people speaking at normal volume (bonus if there is a crying baby, though). I kept them in the whole flight, which I don't think you have to do. I chose this brand because they seemed more cost effective as they could be used for multiple trips. The included case was great too so they didn't get lost in my bag. I will definitely be using these again.

I was miserable recently on long flights during landing when my ears would start bursting in pain. I was always under the impression that earplugs were not really meant to help, until one fellow passenger recommended that I try them. And I'm SO glad I did! The ear plugs have almost, not quite entirely, but almost taken away the pain from landings. Whatever little pain I experience now is more discomfort rather than unbearable pain. VERY thankful for this product!
