This is the best metal polish on the planet earth. It also can be used to remove stains or black marks from fiberglas. Although on its face it looks expensive, a can will last for a long, long time. It has countless uses on a boat, and cleans up all exterior hardware on a house like new.

I bought this on a tip that it works on gas fireplace glass. If you've never had the fun and excitement of cleaning off the baked-on white residue from a couple of years of fireplace usage, let me tell you it is a chore. It is some sort of silicon deposit from what I've heard. The last time I cleaned them I used 3M rubbing compound and an orbital buffer. Even then it took about 30 minutes per panel (two panels total.) The Flitz stuff cut through 95% of the deposits in about five minutes of easy cleaning, all by hand, and I'm sure if I had broken out the orbital buffer it would have been even quicker. The glass looks fantastic. My next places to use it are a quite large stainless cook-top vent and the painted part of the fireplace. If it works well there I'm going to try it on some of our stainless appliances.I recommend two buffing rags and one application rag (which should be damp bordering on wet.) Apply a dime-sized dollop of Flitz for about 1 square foot with the application rag, wait a few seconds, and then buff quickly with a soft cotton buffing rag, picking up the bulk of the residue. The second buffing rag should be a microfiber towel for best results, and it will remove the smeary leftovers of the first buffing towel very quickly and easily. Every homeowner should have a can of this stuff in the garage. Five stars.

My wife uses this exclusively on the nickel/chrome parts of her replica antique stove. It is the most reliable polish we have found for removing cooking stains and grease. It is also recommended by the stove manufacturer. I would have rated it a 5 except it is a bit pricey.

The intended use for this was to buff out scratchesin a clear Stratoglass enclosure on a boat. Also purchased the kit with their large buffing ball and and a 3000 rpm drill, as per instructions. I believe the kit package stated this was its intended use. Scratches did not buff out. Later tried it on some fading red gelcoat but it did not do a very good job their either. I used it on some mag wheels and there it worked ok, but not as good as Mothers Brand. I tried it on an anodized aluminum Tuna Tower that's been turning from silver to white. There it worked good; however after about a week you could see it was back to turning white. In fairness, neither my professional detail people nor I have ever found a product that worked well and lasted more then a few months at most on the aluminum and we have tried many. In hindsight I should have returned this. Probably would cost more to do that then its worth.

I have a Rohl faucet in polished nickel which I could never get really clean. When I needed a repair the technician had a sample of this product. It works incredibly well, basically like nothing else. Highly recommend for polished nickel surfaces.

From jewelry to your car paint job, this stuff cleans and polishes everything! I go through a can this size maybe one every 12 to 16 months, and that covers a 16' enclosed trailer 2 x a year, my truck 4 x a year, my wife's car 4 x a year and a bunch of "hey, can you get this out of my paint" requests from my buddies and a few "honey can you polish my ring"s from my wife.

This product does a good job of polishing bare aluminum. But, the the can content is labeled as 2 pounds, not 2.2 pounds as stated on the web site. That's a 10% shortage.

I have been using Flitz Metal Polish for over 5 years. Nothing works easier or faster in taking off oxidation from my fiberglass/gel-coated RV. Because it's parked at a storage lot, I don't even bother to wash it (athough you will use more rags). I use a terry towel to apply, much like wax. It's creamy and glides on easily. I usually do a two by two foot area at a time. After aplication and waiting less than a minute, I use another dry terry towel to wipe off turning the towle frequetly. It comes off effortlessly. I go over the area one more time with a micro-fiber cloth and you end up with a show-room new finish. I put a quick coat of Carnuba Wax on and I'm good for two years. Buy the 2 lb can... it will last you forever.

I've used Flitz for years. I've used it on my fiberglass bathtub, even on our van to remove paint oxidation. Trust me, it doesn't harm the car's paint. There's nothing better for polishing the metals around your house either. Great price.
