The Mike Longo Trio comprises Mike Longo on piano, Paul West on bass, and Jimmy Wormworth on drums. They have produced an utterly enjoyable, totally swinging recording that brings a smile to my face every time I play it. From standards such as "Dancing in the Dark" and "Evidence" to an original by Longo titled "Diminishing Returns," every tune on this recording captures the essence of fine piano trio jazz.

Although the Mike Longo Trio may not be well known, the band is certainly well skilled and deserves to be well appreciated. Float like a Butterfly may not be easy to find, but it is well worth the search. If you are a fan of piano jazz, you are going to love this recording. It SWINGS!
