I took this book with me down the Owyhee River. It told me the river order of the rapids, how to identify each rapid before I was in it, what side to scout on and just how to run the rapid. Melinda also discussed affects of different water levels, camping, and fishing. I met a couple of rafters with another guide book that entered Montgomery rapid on the wrong side and both broke oars. I showed them my book. They took notes.
