As good as it gets.,
This review is from: Floating World (Audio CD)
I have almost all of Riley Lee's work and I love his style. Due to his Eastern musical roots and it never occured that he would do an album with a Western feel to it. Lee does show some of his Eastern flair on a few of the tracks, but Marshall Mcguire's harp sets a classical/celtic tone that is perfectly matched by Lee's lyrical adaptation. This really is an amazing album + I have no clue who Marshall Mcguire is, but his playing is sublime; as far as I have heard I don't think Grand Master Riley Lee has ever been accompanied by a more apt musician.

Slip into something entirely more comfortable with this magical CD. You will indeed be floating as you drift along listening to Riley Lee's melodic, dainty, soulful playing. Light and delicate, there is never a jarring moment. As such it makes great background music, but allow yourself to focus on the sounds and you will be uplifted. You may find yourself picturing a butterfly hovering over a colourful buddleia in full bloom. Music like this helps one get in touch with the senses and the imagination. Buy it!
