Getting to the end, it's wonderful to see time fast forwarded with Shea naturally thinking and acting more maturely.
Plus I can't help but think that this volume starts to feel more like Josei (Lady's Comic) to me. And I welcome it.

I was first hooked by the title of the book, "Flock of Angels".
And apparently this is one of those rare treasure mangas. The third book of this wonderful series goes out with a bang! Shea has learned about the devastating future of the "Family" and convinces Aema to help him uncover why. Reluctantly she lets him return to society, never to see that little village again. As he searches for the answers, he meets up with a girl he helped rescue in the first book, and she's pregnant. The father is one of the men from "The Family" and working with this new information he learns that "The Family" will not completely die out. His determination to tell "The Family" and see Aema again is renewed. Some time later he finds that "The Family" has dispersed throughout society, and that he has a little girl. The last few chapters of the book fast forward about three years to where Shea's little girl, Iris, is in school, and he's continuing to fight for the equality of angels. He also clues in on his feelings for his long time fashion partner, Kate, and marries her. A great close to the series. There is room to see if Shea and Kate will accomplish their goal, and there is definitely the potential for more small stories that could be included, but all-in-all it is a good, clean and fulfilling close to the series. Pick it up already if you haven't! |
