Delsol makes it all work with Kat’s spunky personality, plenty of dry, hip wisecracks, friendships, rivalries, a little romance and lots of suspense. Readers will care about each character with their distinct personalities, often quirky but acceptable as real humans.... The whole trilogy stands out for originality and great entertainment.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series, and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. Pre-order the official script book today. Kindle | Hardcover
More About the Author
After a year living and studying in France, Wendy moved to Los Angeles, where she remained for another twenty.
Post college, the rent was paid by working as a group tour coordinator in the travel industry.
Besides writing, her favorite job, ever, was mother to her two boys.
The writing bug bit at age forty. Wendy wrote her first novel and then took a year of writing classes through the UCLA Writers' Extension Program.
When her husband's job took the family to Des Moines, Wendy continued writing novels; she took classes through the University of Iowa Summer Writers' Festival; and she joined a local critique group, SCBWI, and the YA chapter of RWA.
Her young adult novel, STORK, is represented by Jamie Brenner of Artists and Artisans and was released by Candlewick Press on October 12, 2010.
Her adult novel, THE McCLOUD HOME FOR WAYWARD GIRLS, will release on August 2, 2011 with Penguin Books.
STORK's sequel, FROST, will be published on October 11, 2011.
The third and final (working title TIDE) in the STORK trilogy is slated for release in October of 2012.

Kat is just such a determined girl. She does not give up, which is so admirable. Even if she doesn't always follow the rules. Plus she has this cute little snarky streak in her that I really found amusing. And Jack made me smile again! He showed me why I loved him so much in the first book. That in itself made me super happy.
Flock is a surprising end to an adventurous trilogy. I didn't see a few things coming in this installment. And one of them was pretty big! I'm not going to say a word though, you will just have to read it for yourself to find out. And then once you do, let me know if you like it or not. Personally I did like it, even though it bummed me out a little bit. But I think it was fitting.
I said in my previous reviews that I loved the norse mythology in the previous too books and this one was pretty awesome too. I was so happy to see more legends explained and woven into the story. Plus some secrets uncovered and mysteries answered. I felt like Flock was a satisfying end to a good YA series. I really enjoyed the adventures of the Stork trilogy. And I love that Wendy has something in her author blurb about the series that says she misses Kat and bets they are up to mischief without her or something like that and I just think that is so perfect. I can totally picture Kat stirring up all kinds of mischief, and it is how I like to think of her and her gang too.
*Disclaimer- I got a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest review. I did not receive any compensation for my review.
Once again, I just loved Kat. I still love her humor and kind of sarcastic streak. And I love that she does what she thinks is right, even if it's not exactly what she's supposed to be doing. And I still like her relationship with Jack (although we don't get too much of him in this book). I think it still seems like a real, teenage relationship. I didn't remember Penny from last book (oops) but I enjoyed her. And I loved the little secret we get about her at the end. I didn't remember Marik or Jinky either, but I can't forget them now! I love that everyone loved Marik. I too thought it was one of his special powers but it turned out that was just his personality. And spunky little Jinky was fun too. She had a soft side buried way down there.
I do have to say that the main action of the story towards the end got me a little confused. I had a hard time following what was happening and why but I think I got the gist of it by the end. And there's a surprise that happens at the end that I wasn't expecting but I like it. It ended the trilogy nicely and doesn't leave me wondering what was going to happen next. I liked that I got all the answers I need!
I enjoyed this trilogy. It was a great take on Norse fairy tales and while I'm sad to see it end, I was happy with it!
With plenty of mystery, humor, drama, magic, and romance - this latest story is jam-packed with a roller coaster of emotional events and suspense. With several twists and surprises towards the end, Flock is a satisfying ending to an enchanting trilogy. I look forward to future stories from this talented author.
