Several years ago I found this spatula in a kitchen specialty store in Sacramento. It looked like a number of others available; I don't know why I chose it specifically. But it did feel good in the hand! I have a number of spoons & spatulas in the drawer, but I always reach for this one! The German company makes this design in metal & in plastic. The plastic can break or burn if abused, and one has to be careful not to dig too hard on a teflon pan with the medal one. Highly recommended!!! I own more than one; once you use it, you will too!!

The original version had a metal handle. I bought it over 18 years ago in a kitchen shop, I still use it everyday and like the other reviewers, reach for it fist, before any other tool. I use it as a spatula to flip pancakes, a kind of whip for stirring soup and to stir anything I am cooking. I have looked for years for another one, and was thrilled to find it on amazon. You won't regret buying one, or two or three!

On a whim, I decided to look online to see if Westmark Flonal spatulas were, by some miracle, still available. I have one of the original ones with the metallic-looking handle, and IT IS FIFTY YEARS OLD, people! It is still in perfect condition and is by far my favorite spatula. It's always the one I reach for first. Wow, I am so happy to see that they are still available. I am going to put in an order for some of these right away. They are a great kitchen tool, and would make a great gift.

I bought this to replace my previous Flonal spatula that my husband finally broke after I had had it for 15 years or more. I used it for cooking everything...eggs, fish, pancakes, whatever. I can't believe the other lasted as long as it did. The only change in this one is the little bump on the handle.

The size is perfect for me. I have found other spatulas too big, When the other broke, I looked at the name on the handle to try to find a new one, and I was soooo happy that it was labeled, and that I was able to fine a new one. Yes...buy it. You won't be sorry.

This spatula is a replacement for one that I had for 30 years. Although slight modifications have been made in the spatula I love it as much as I loved my old one. I highly recommend this product as it works nicely with all size frying pans, is comfortable to hold, and is easy to clean.

Like another reviewer, I originally found this spatula in a kitchen store, somewhere in the Tahoe area. I rate it as my top spatula for use in non-stick pans: very light, heat-resistant (although not heat-proof), comfortable and handy.

The head is very thin (although not as thin as a metal spatula that you can use in a metal pan), and can slip under an omlet, for instance - or you can use it under flaking fish. The spatula is strong enough to lift pork chops, but not to lift a whole pork roast of prime rib - you would risk breaking it. It is easy to clean, I generally put it in the dishwasher, but will occasionally use a the sharp side of a blue Scotchbrite sponge to scrape the leftover deposits on its edge.

I have tried more than a dozen different types of spatulas over the past 10 years, trying to find the very best. I use these spatulas heavily, more than I use any other. I break about one per year. I buy one or two new ones every year... If there is one thing I would wish, it would be for the head of this spatula to be slightly wider. There are simply the best!

This is a very handy little spatula...I like it! Great for turning over eggs and omelettes. Like a few other reviewers, I noticed that its length is slightly shorter than a lot of spatulas I've used in the past, but that doesn't really make me like it any less.

I wanted a spatula that flipped eggs without breaking the yolk and that also didn't take up lots of room in the drawer. This is just a simple spatula, but my favorite.

When I first received the spatula I though it looked a little small at 11". After using it several times now, I indeed feel it could be an inch or two longer( my personal perference). Also a piece of metal between the spatula end and the handle end would be nice since I tend to tap against the side of the pot or pan when cooking. As it is, I'm a little less aggressive with using it than I might be otherwise. Again, just a personal perference. Barring these minor concerns, I do really like this spatula. It's very lite weight and thin making it easy to handle. Hopefully it will stand the test of time.

Gave this product a try based on reviews but I find it seriously lacking in redeeming features of any kind. The handle is very thin and has sharp edges from the molding process. The thumb rest is not very comfortable and isn't placed properly for any of the hands in our house. The spatula end does not have any give to it all and with the ultra thin handle, it seems a matter of time before this thing snaps in two.
