This review is from: Car Floor / Seat Bolt Mount for Garmin Nuvi 500 550 750 760 770 780 850 860 880 5000 650 660 670 680 350 360 370 270 260W 260 255 255W 250W 250 205 205W 200W 200 710 610 310 300 GPS (Electronics)
This floor mount is made to be attached to your car seats floor bracket and elevated along the driver's or passenger's seat at a comfortable height and postion to operate your Garmin GPS. It fails in what I consider 2 important categories. The first is stability, it attaches to the floor bracket alright but there is an unacceptable amount of play in the arm. Unless you wedge it between the seat and center console or secure it to the side of something ie. the console, then you are left with a stand that will move freely. The second area that fails miserably is the height. At the described height of 12" if mounted on the driver's side it interferes with removing and inserting your keys into the ignition. The height is also questionable with adequate satellite reception, remember most Gps manufacturers recommend their unit be installed aboved the dash if not coupled with an external antenna. Not much to gain and could be alot sacrificed.

I have one and loved it so much I got one for my mom. It holds the GPS securely in view without blocking any of your windshield or taking up console space. (I found it very distracting to have my GPS on the windshield, and I have to think that's a bit unsafe.) I have it mounted on the passenger side, so it's a minor intrusion into their knee space, but not major and I don't have passengers that often. It's easy to position and orient the GPS just where you want it, and it stays where you put it. I highly recommend this.
