The Floppy Sleep Game,
By Marty Allen (USA) - See all my reviews

What a soothing tape for children. My son enjoys moving his arms and legs to the music while he slowly relaxes before falling off to sleep. He loves listening to the turtles in the background. This tape is perfect for bedtime. The bedtime routine is so much easier now!

Nothing else worked.,

This review is from: The Floppy Sleep Game (Audio CD)
My 3 year old hates to sleep. She will do anything to keep herself awake. We have tried keeping her on the same routine every night, warm baths, soft music, and reading. She would lay in her bead until 11:30-12:00 every night. The Floppy Sleep Game has been amazing. It worked the very first night. Just in the first 5 days bed time has been between 9:30 and 10:00 with no up and down or crying. She ask to play the "Flop Sleep Game". We are now moving bed time up to 9:15 this week and should have her at 8:30 before long. My 10 year old even likes to play.

The music is nice and soothing. Please note that the CD is only 20 minutes. I don't think it is worth the 12.99

concerns about the Floopy Sleep Game,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Floppy Sleep Game (Audio CD)
While the narrative is soothing and the music is lovely, I have a basic concern with the guided visualization used on this tape. Living on a lake and having Grandsons overnight with us frequently, I am returning this tape because of the encouragement to visualize walking down to the river and getting atop a turtle and smoothly floating on...In that we carefully insruct the two small boys to NEVER go to the lake without an adult, it is not helpful to suggest that it is okay to walk down to the "river" alone and quietly. The relaxation techniques are nice and the music pleasant but the verbage is harmful to younger children

Goodnight Maeve!,

Thank you Patti Teel! This CD put my daughter to sleep the first night she listened to it and has been working ever since. It starts with a lullabye and then has the listener play a game by lifting and flopping arms, legs, etc. It then brings has them imagine themselves floating on the back of a turtle down a river and lying in a meadow. It ends with deep breething exercises to the sound of the ocean and by then she is usually asleep. We ordered the CD and looped it on a tape. Some nights I play the game with her and end up asleep! For any parent who has a child that makes bed time a nightmare - I can't reccomend this enough.

Thankful Mom,

My 7-yr old son is finally falling asleep! No matter what time we would put him to bed, he would be up until 11-12 every night. It has worked every night so far. We're slowly working on moving his bedtime up now so he'll finally get a full night of sleep. Thanks for such a wonderful CD. We're looking to get the second one now for variety!

An aid to children learning how to relax,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Floppy Sleep Game (Audio CD)
Patti Teel composed and performed The Floppy Sleep Game as an aid to children learning how to relax. Part 1 (The Flop Game and "It's a Mother's Lullaby") encourages children to "flop" their body parts whil various musical isntruments correspond with amusing sounds. In Part 2 (The Sound Of Dreams) children hear peaceful music as they are guided on a magical mental journey. Highly recommended for family, day care center, and preschool resource collections, The Floppy Sleep Game is also available in an audiocassette format ...

Sleepy Is A Sleeper!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Floppy Sleep Game (Audio CD)
Wonderful! I recently received the CD for my 2-1/2 year old twin sons. Though they are pretty good sleepers, I felt that my wife and I, along with my boys, could benefit from the interaction that the CD encourages. The CD has become an integral part of our night time ritual. My one son frequently requests, "Floppy music Daddy....pleassssssssse!" (I even think they sleep better too!) Thank you Ms. Teel for your relaxing technique and for assisting in the development of my children. Buy it for your family - and for every friend with little children!

It works!!,

We had tried nearly every techinque to get our 6 year old to fall asleep on her own. She just could not "let go" to fall asleep on her own. I heard about the tape on TV and ordered one the next day. I built up the new tape to my daughter, and she was looking forward to trying it. The first night it did not work, as she wanted to hear it all, but after that, it as worked every night. She is settling in to sleep alone and quickly, and after 1 month, it has never failed to put her to sleep. For the first time since she was 2, we have our evenings back!!

4 year old daughter,
By A Customer

My 4 year old daughter loves this cd at bedtime. She is asleep by the end of the tape. (10-15 minutes) We alternate tracks to keep her interested. If you have a restless child at bedtime, this is the cd you need to try. I gave copies to 3 of my friends.
