From Library Journal
Stones, one of the world's foremost botanical illustrators, is here teamed with Urbatsch, professor of botany at LSU. The result is this exquisite book, not only an accurate botanical record, but a work of art in its own right. The 156 black-and-white and 66 full-color drawings are paired with a short text that includes a physical description and notes on habitat and growing conditions. The color drawings use an entire page (9 x 12), with two per page for the black and white. The design, typeface, and binding are superior. For botanical and art collections.
