4.0 out of 5 stars Christobel Kent
A well constructed mystery. The characters are believable. The descriptions of Florence add to the enjoyment of this novel. This author's books are not easy to find off line.

This was the first book I have read by this author.I picked this book because I lived in Florence for a year and I truly love the city.

Plot
A Florentine Revenge is about an unsolved murder 15 years earlier than the time of the book. The plot centers on an English guide in the city of Florence and her clients for a weekend in Florence.Unknownst to the guide her clients have a secret.

My thoughts
The book is very descriptive of the city of Florence, and it is truly accurate in its details. The pace is very slow and not much happens until the end, this is defintely not for an action fan.I thought the plot was very predicatable and the ending even more so.Some characters are quite bland and the author thinks using details about mundane things will enhance these boring people. All in all an okay book, but it took me several days to finish because it was not a page turner
