    First, let me say that it has been several years since I've worn Florsheim. I'd probably say at least 8-9 years. My last pair were some plain-toe black leather shoes that just seemed to fall short on quality and comfort, so I made a switch and wore a pair of Cole Haan Air Geoffrey cap-toes up to present day. I've had those re-soled once before and since I'm keeping them, I'll have them re-soled again in the coming weeks. But on to the Millport cap-toe shoe...

    In looking for a new shoe to wear to work (business attire), I wanted a cap-toe again. I searched for a while and kept coming back to the Millport for some reason. Now I know why. The shoe is sharp. The shoe is very comfortable. The shoe is very well made. In the last 8 years, something must have changed at Florsheim, because this is not the same quality shoe I purchased back in the early 2000's. Granted, I probably did not purchase a shoe from the "Limited" line, but I expected Florsheim to be quality no matter what. That's why they are still around. The in-sole is removeable and has extra padding on the heel and arch for support and extra comfort and is lined with soft leather. Break-in period was quite short compared to my Cole Haan's. The leather is soft and very flexible (compared to my Cole Haan's in which the leather was hard and the shoe was stiff). The bottom leather sole is not only classy, but is sewn on, which should extend the life a little longer and has a small rubber portion on the heel for traction. And there are some details to this shoe. If you look closely, there is some perforations in the leather around the collar of the shoe to give it a little added class and style. These shoes are true to size (I'm size 11), and at standard width (D), are perfect for a near flat-footed man like myself.    Read more ›

    Nice all leather shoe.

    At first I hated them, even though I wear a wide width, these seemed way too wide until I wore them for a few days, and now they are perfect.

    Can't find a decent dress shoe in this area, nothing but rubber soled crap.

    Great shoe, you will love it after its broken in.

    I bought these shoes for a wedding and got a few complements (which is surprising considering they aren't shoes that stand out). They offer a classic oxford style that is classy but can also be worn with more casual clothes. The leather and feel make them seem like a more expensive shoe, providing good value.

    The shoes are somewhat comfortable when you first wear them but need a bit of breaking in. After breaking them in, I am now able to walk long distances in comfort.

    The shoes have all leather soles. If you haven't worn shoes with all leather soles, that may be a bit strange to get used to. But after a few trials you stop thinking about it. The benefit is that these can easily be replaced as they get worn, saving money over a new pair of shoes.

    i really like these shoes, i had a pair that i wore for 2 years, that i got resoled a few times and now i use them as my rainy day shoes, and i now purchased a new pair b/c i resolved to take better care of them from day 1 as opposed to previous pair. they're great honestly. only issue was, this second time i ordered them, they gave me thick laces that look like they belonged in some POS non-dressy shoe. They were extremely undressy and didn't fit the shoe's style. I had to buy some new laces at a cobbler. Not sure why they do that now or if this was just a one-time thing? the first time i ordered they provided the thin dressy laces that look 10x better.

    I received the shoes very quickly, however, I could not even get either shoe on my feet, I have been wearing a size 10 EEE for years, these shoes are not even close to a triple E. Second the quality is just terrible the holes for the shoe laces are so small l could not remove the laces unless I use a pair of pliers which I did not do. I'am the type of person that never complains about anything but people need to know that that are throwing there money down the drain if that by this brand, I was shocked to see how thin the leather is on this shoe. please don't WASTE YOUR MONEY!

    The shoes fit like the Florsheim footwear of any years ago, but the leather is of far, far lower quality. There used to be a time when shoes from Florsheim at a slightly lower price point had that hard, smooth leather that could be shined up to look wonderful. Well, these shoes have that leather that aren't hard or shiny, but rather matte, so that you never get that deep gloss.

    While these shoes are okay, I won't be buying them again.
