5.0 out of 5 stars Oversized Flour Sack for multipurpose use in the kitchen
I could not do anything around the kitchen anymore without the help of these floursacks.
I use them to cover food after preparation to keep the flavor in, wrap the bread into for longer conservation, or just quick and easy cleaning of the excess of sauce on presentation plates. I even use them to wipe the counter down from time to time and of course to dry my hands...

3.0 out of 5 stars Problems with Product Consistency
This is an amendment to my prior review of this product. I so liked my last set of cotton tea towels that I ordered another set. This set is nothing like the last set. Most notably, it has no strip sewn across a corner allowing you to hang the towel from a hook. The towels are entirely different from my last set. The size is the same and they are 100% cotton, but...

These towels are very high quality, nicely woven, almost clothing quality. They absorb a fair amount of liquid which allows for a few mishaps. They come in 12 which just with a few packs is more than enough for a good kitchen. I washed mine several times already and they still perform flawlessly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality - can't beat the price!, September 2, 2010

I wish I had been purchasing these for my kitchen all along. It is sometimes harder to find the towels in this smaller size. Good, heavy duty material, perfect for my embroidery projects. Did not shrink when I washed them and there was just a minute amount of very fine pilling here and there that will probably come out in later washings. Doesn't effect the quality of the towel at all. I would definitely buy these again.

I have been looking for these since I found some at Wal-Mart, but couldn't find em later when I needed a fresh batch. You won't know how you ever did without these. For all kinds of jobs, all kinds of people...in the kitchen, outside, in the car, wherever you can imagine a need for a wipe or towel. Hubby found them, and I think he's the one that ran off with my original batch...great for just out in the yard working sweat wipes!! I plan to buy everyone their own dozen for Christmas, just so they will leave mine alone. For a dozen, this is a good price, too!

This is my second purchase for these excellent towels. I use them for machine embroidery projects to be given as bridal shower and personal gifts. The size is great and they become softer and more absorbent with each washing. They are also thicker than "store bought" towels. I use them in my kitchen for dish drying so I can personally attest to the fact I'm giving a gift of excellent quality.

These perfect sized towels are really a must have for any home. I love them in the kitchen. But they make great cloths for dusting and polishing too. I recently bought another set, because my wood-crafting son decided they are great for applying stains as well. That's OK (although I do wish he'd chosen the rag bag for that project) But the price is right too.

Honestly folks, you won't be disappointed. Open the pack and toss them into the wash before the first use. You'll want to do that to get them softer and absorbent and to remove the "finish". They get softer with multiple washings, but right from the start they are great!

Needed functional kitchen towels. Found them right here!

These towels are large, absorbent, very functional, soft enough to polish silver and glasses, large enough to do the job easily, wash easily, and satisfy the Kitchen Doer. They're handy to cover things, handy to place under things. Very pleased!

As a regular cook, I have to have a good kitchen towel handy. These towels fit the bill perfectly.
I was a bot concerned that they would not wash well, but they came out of the wash just as soft and absorbant as they went in,
Paid for themselves quickly by not purchasing paper towels(greener too!).

For the price of a case of paper towels, you can get a stack (twelve) of BIG, well made, washable and reusable cotton sacking cloth towels. They are perfect for any kitchen use - drying dishes, wiping up spills, doubled-up to use at hot pads. They are thin enough that, in a pinch, you can use them to wash dishes and pots. The hems are tightly sewn and seem sturdy. Being all white, you can drop them in the laundry with some bleach without fear or ruining colors or patterns. Towels like these seem an essential basic for the kitchen, and I like them a lot. (Also, they can be used for embroidery, I think, but I don't know anything about that).

This is an amendment to my prior review of this product. I so liked my last set of cotton tea towels that I ordered another set. This set is nothing like the last set. Most notably, it has no strip sewn across a corner allowing you to hang the towel from a hook. The towels are entirely different from my last set. The size is the same and they are 100% cotton, but that is about it. They don't seem to have the same thread count. Still, they seem to work fine. My issue is you can't count on what you will get from this company. They obviously lack product consistency. They probably use multiple suppliers for the same product - not a good business model. I expected to get exactly the same product that I ordered last time, but I didn't. For that reason, I will have to down-grade my review by one star (from 4 to 3).

I love having these around. I use them for everything and because they are white, just bleach them with other whites. Soft enough to use on glasses or computer screens but tough enough to wipe up spills. If you are looking for a great Wedding gift, give these. It might not impress them off the bat but trust me, they will thank you for years to come.
