Book Description

March 1, 1997
This book/disk set provides developers of embedded systems easy access to the benefits of objected-oriented programming for the entire range of real-time systems. It explains object-oriented methods, and provides the "Flow Design Diagrammer" software as a tool for applying these methods. The primary benefit of object-oriented programming is in organizing and encapsulating the tasks and activities that make up the system into understandable "objects" in the programming code. The result is that the programmer can work on separate self-contained "objects" rather than having to work on the whole, complex system. Embedded systems programmers have avoided object-oriented programming as a complex, new skill. "Flow Design" gives them an easy, intuitive way to get the benefits of object-oriented methods, especially working with C++.
