Book Description

“Steven Budden is your gift from the universe. If you are reading this, a universal flow brought you here to awaken your soul.”

Broke, desperate, and caught in a miserable relationship, I nearly died. As I swam out into the ocean to find peace, a wave sent me hurtling into the ocean floor and BROKE my NECK.

When I crawled out of the water, broken and trembling, Flow Healing Arts was born. Something shifted in my body and in the universe (the two are really one).

Now it is my mission to pass on this spark of awakening with the extraordinary people who cross my path (like YOU).

I’m a the founder of Flow Healing Arts, but what I really am is a FEARLESS companion; a CATALYST to SPIRITUAL, emotional, and physical UNFOLDING. I’m going to show you how to untangle your pain and confusion so you can breathe again. Curious?

WHAT IS FLOW?

Well, living locked in patterns is the opposite of Flow.

Do any of these look familiar?

I was abused when I was (age) so I am unable to fully trust anyone anymore
My heart was broken when I was (age) so I am afraid to love again
My parents did X or Y so I am destined to do the same
X manipulated people to get money, so having money is immoral
If anyone truly knew me, they’d know that I’m unloveable
X said Y when I was (age) and I believed them
A parent was not affectionate so I cannot give or receive love
I keep recreating the relationships my parents had
I have a pattern of self sabotage (financial, relationships, health)

You don’t need to wait for that crisis to transform your life! (Though perhaps you are already have?)

This book can help you like it has helped thousands of others. Curious?

ONCE I BELIEVED IN ACCIDENTS

Now I no longer do.

“Accidents” are gifts that we’ve yet to embrace.
Life Happens where our BODY meets the Present Moment.
Healing is a JOURNEY, not a destination; a journey we can choose to celebrate.
When we flow into the present moment, the body’s innate intelligence system takes over and healing happens naturally.

Our physical and emotional pain contains sacred messages from our body. We can use it as an excuse for not living a rich, full life or a gateway to surrender and spiritual awakening; a catalyst to physical and emotional unfoldment. This is where the miracles happen, our relationships touch new depths, and we thrive.

I call this being in FLOW. Are you open to more flow?

I was out of alignment, out of Flow plain and simple. The universe swung in to bring me back into alignment. How perfect, I thought, that it took getting crushed by a Pacific wave to teach me about flow.

Where are you out of alignment?

Now I am passionate about passing this spark of awakening to others.

MY OWN LIFE

After developing and moving through these principles, I hardly even recognize my own life! My relationships, which were once tenuous and stressful, have shifted to passion and fulfillment; my career, was toilsome and monotonous, has become thrilling and rewarding; and my financial situation, which was once so precarious, is now bustling with spiritual energy.

Healing is not an end but a process; a process we can celebrate and delight in!

Now I help others let go of pain and rediscover the joy of living a life full of possibilities. When we release our pain, it frees us up to love, work, and play with our whole being! I call this being in “Flow.” Ready to join a revolution?

Dive in and let’s create the world we dream of by recreating our lives from the ground up!

Steven Budden is a speaker, catalyst, and the author of Flow: An Illuminated Training Manual - How to Thrive in Love, Work, and Play, The Flow into Joy Journeybook, and The Flop Eared Gospels (a Novel). An awakening experience in 2005 and a broken neck in 2008 were catalysts to a new way of being, which he refers to as Flow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful guide to life for the New Year! December 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have long been a fan of Steven's; as an artist, a musician, and a beautiful man, he is inspiring.

Now, having read Flow, I feel inspired with hope in myself.

This manual touches directly on the struggles that bind us as humans.

Flow is a quick read, the kind of book that you can devour on a lazy weekend, but you will want to highlight and reference it long after the words have entered your mind.

The writing is an outpouring of the soul, like words you would expect to find locked away in a secret journal, or private thoughts you dare not let escape from your subconcious mind.

Personally struggling with depression and other health related issues for many years, and having recently made a very difficult decision to give up a long time career to become a full time care taker for my 98 year old grandmother, the section on healing through taking time to recognize emotional cues grabbed my attention.

When I read, "... by working a job that is not in alignment with our nature we will experience more and more discomfort and dis-ease until we reach a critical juncture." A critical juncture indeed! Yes, I thought, this is critical.

Thank you for having the courage to encourage others in their quest to heal!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Illuminating Read December 27, 2012
By Violet
Format:Kindle Edition
A beautifully written little book, that is at once both inspirational and educational. I found that this book deeply resonated with truths I have come to know, while also challenging old belief systems and inspiring new thoughts and perspectives. There is no doubt this is a spiritual book, however the author also made the material both practical and accessible through reading recommendations, and simple instructional steps. If you are new to these concepts and ideas, or a long time student this book will only shed more light along your path. I am so grateful I came across it, I felt new hope and vision while reading. Please read it for yourself, it will not be a waste of your precious time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Palatable, personal, & insightful June 21, 2013
Format:Paperback
I found the information & research that Steven Budden included in this book, along with his personal stories to be very insightful. I was going through a transition in my own life when I read this book, and I found that reading this book and doing some of the recommended exercises to be extremely helpful. Budden writes in a very honest & to the point manner which is refreshing and easy to digest. After reading a couple of chapters, I found I didn't want to put it down..it "flows". I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in new ways of approaching/exploring/seeing their life!
