Bought this product to protect the external faucets on my condo as there is quite a bit of construction going on around not to mention the common yard maintainenance guys.

Is this worth $20? - you betcha! Solid product added with the next gen magnetic key does the trick. Bought 3 locks and the vendor called and confirmed that all the 3 locks would be "keyed" (or magnetized) in this case to the same.

Very simple to install - as easy as opening/closing a cracker jar lid!

Highly recommend it to anyone who want to protect this precious resource and to save $$.

Just came back from a 2-week long trip and found all the locks unscrewed and 2 were missing and people have been stealing water! Looks like they have been easy to remove! I am going to contact the manufacturer and see what they have to say. The locks with the new "Magnetic Key" may not be that good after all. Think I am going to request the good ol' fashioned lock/key.

When I placed the order, someone from the company called me and asked if the locks were going to be used at the same place, and if so, if I wanted the lockes keyed the same way for convenience. Now that is what I call customer service. Good customer service is hard to find these days. I of course had them keyed the same.

When I got the locks, they were very well packed, and they arrived at the specified date if not earlier. I was very impressed with the locks. They were very well built. You don't see this type of quality any more. The locks were made of a very heavy and durable metal, and I almost want to say bulletproof. I have these locks protecting all the faucets outside of my house.

I highly recommend these locks to anyone, or any company that has had water stolen from their faucet.

I purchased this Faucet Lock after a lot of research and reading each review here on Amazon. I will have to tell you, I am just as satisified with the service as well as the product itself. I placed my order late one night and early the next morning, I received a phone call from the company (Mark Nickeas). He saw that I purchased 2 locks and wondered if I would like them keyed alike for ease of use. Of course I did, but that was awesome that a company would actually care! I guess I just had too many bad orders in the past with other vendors. I received the item within the week I ordered. As for the product itself, it is very well made, and fit perfect. They are made of brass so they won't rust. These Faucet Locks are the best of all the products out there. You will not be dissapointed.

The FaucetLock is genius. Before I knew it was available, I said to myself, I wish I could lock my faucet to keep out the construction workers next door. Perfect. I love it and I am sure they hate it. Thanks again! Great and easy to use product.

We recently purchased three apartment buildings which needed the exterior hose bibs secured. After researching the various products available, I chose this faucet lock. I placed my order and the customer service personnel offered to key the locks to the same key, a detail which simplifies my life! I received the faucet locks within just a few days. I was very pleased with the sturdy construction. They were easy to install and most of all--effective! No more unauthorized water usage! They're fairly easy to remove when I do need to turn on the water.

I wanted to add to the long list of stories of great customer service. I had a problem removing one of the faucet locks for some reason. I called a plumber to help out. I needed to replace the exterior hose bib with a frost proof one anyway. The plumber managed to get the faucet lock off and then he removed the old faucet and installed the new frost proof one. He inadvertently gathered up my faucet lock with the scraps of metal and old hose bib when he left.

I called Mark at Flow Security Systems and explained what happened. Ordinarily, they require the problem faucet lock to be returned in order to determine what went wrong. But, even though I did not have the faucet lock to return to them, Mark offered to send me a new one! I think that was incredibly generous of him and I just wanted to let everyone know. I'm also spreading the word in our homeowners' association.

Way to go, Mark!

This thing is heavy duty. Excellent design and works great. We have a house for sale about 200 miles away and this will do the trick in keeping people from stealing water from the house.

the lock part kept screwing off until I got support. They told me to take the gasket out and tighten it. I think that is a little design or quality control flaw. Nevertheless it is a sturdy product with the lock being a achilles heel. a lttle dirt can damage it.

I ordered this product on a Monday, the day after our landlady came over and stole water for at least the fifth time. Immediately after ordering, I called the company to see if there was any way to expedite shipping since I knew she'd be back the next weekend to do more work next door, and would be at it again. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and helpful, and even though I'd only ordered the faucet lock about five minutes before I called, he already had a UPS tracking number for me, and said it would be going out that day.

Today is Friday. I just received my faucet lock, and put it on the spigot outside. I am thrilled! It got here in time, it was very easy to attach, it's very secure, and now we don't have to worry about our dishonest landlady stealing water anymore! The only downside--I won't be able to see the look on her face when she finds the lock on the faucet!

UPDATE FEBRUARY 11, 2010:

As I knew she would, the landlady came over to do more work on the property while we weren't home, and tried to use the water. How do I know? Because the hose that was connected to the spigot before I locked it is now gone, and the spigot was left on. So not only did she try to take revenge by taking her hose back (whatever, we'll just buy one--they're not that expensive), she tried to run up our water bill. It's not as if she doesn't know how to turn the spigot off on the house she owns. Nice, huh? If not for the faucet lock, she would have been using who knows how much water while we were away. If I could give this product five more stars, I would.

Oh, and I saw that another reviewer said they had purchased the type with magnetic keys, and came home from a trip to find the locks removed and stolen, and the water had been used. I should point out that I bought the one with the regular key, so maybe it's best to go with that until the issue with the magnetic keys is resolved.

My wife woke up one morning I was out of town to the sound of running water. Some punks in the neighborhood turned on the outside faucet sometime before 6am one morning. I ordered these the same day.

Didn't get a call to ask if I wanted them all keyed alike as I was hoping based on the other reviews but, oh well, the keys have a tag on them and I just wrote which set goes where.

Interestingly simple design and very effective. Very heavy and thus not cheaply made.

After my son's girlfriend notified us that our neighbor was stealing our water to wash his and his friend's cars started looking for something like this. After high water bills last spring and summer, don't think I going to them again. As the Water Stealing Neighbor already noticed The Faucet Lock attached to MY water bib. As he was walking out to his car I heard the smart-aleck remark to one his fellow water stealing friends on what an idiot I am for doing that. All that did was make me smile from ear to ear with smug satisfaction that his days of stealing my water are long gone. Highly recommend both The Faucet Lock and Flow Security Systems, Inc.
