An outstanding contribution to flower essence therapy.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Flower Essences: An Illustrated Guide (Paperback)
This is an outstanding introduction to flower essence therapy giving the reader a clear and concise picture of each essence plant. The simplicity of the format and the accesibility of the text belies the huge amount of information packed into such a compact book. I could not recomend this book more highly as an introduction to a fascinating therapy.

Just got this one and I'm finding it really useful. It's not the most comprehensive book on the subject, but what it does have is really well done. Only briefly mention of the Bach flower essences, focusing instead on less well known flowers, mainly from Australia.

An excellent guide for the visually-minded,

This book is an excellent introduction to flower essences, or flower remedies. It's strongest point is the visual way it is laid out, with a case study, photos of the flower, historical snippets, and general information on each remedy. It's very well-organized and a real pleasure to read, especially if you want to shy away from dense, overly-technical reading on the subject. This is immensely readable, yet still accurate and true to the subject. The one confusing point is the selection of remedies seems random or arbitrary. There are remedies from many different sources, or makers of remedies, with out a complete selection from any company. This is interesting, but in no way complete. Some remedies are included, others excluded, for no apparent reason. Still, I enjoy this book and it's nice just to leave out for browsing in the waiting room of an office, or coffee table in your living room.

I love this book, the "energy" of it is wonderful, in the sense the intention of the book as it was written and the wonderful colour pictures, case histories, wide variety of essences, indexes and information is brilliant. I adore it. Can't wait to get my hands on her larger book The Complete Illustrated Encyclopedia of Flower Remedies, sadly out of print even though it was published in 2000.
