One of the few (dare I say "only"?) books out there for Wiccan Men's Mysteries, this book is a "must read" for my students, both male and female. One of the things that I love about it, is that it is more than Men's Mysteries... It explores the changes that were created in our psyches when we changed from a hunter-gatherer society to an agrarian one. The changes in men's roles because of that societal shift were profound. And that shift affected our religion as well. I think it goes a long way to explaining two of the major trends in Wicca, those that find their spiritual roots with the hunter-gatherers and those that find their spiritual roots with the agrarian cultures. If you can find it, read it. |
