5.0 out of 5 stars FLOWERS FOR THE MILLENIUM!
Well,it's time to give it up to ACE OF BASE, again! They have proved, yet again, that they make the best albums....EVER! This album goes a bit more indepth than Cruel Summer. That's why I absolutely adore it! The four different trax show you the cool Euro. sides to AOB. The different versions of Donnie and He Decides make me all wet inside. ESPECIALLY HE DECIDES! Jenny...

3.0 out of 5 stars Flowers-Cruel Summer...
Being unfamiliar with this group, I took a chance and purchased this disc. The big draw to me was the additional version of "Cruel Summer," as I go nuts for the Bananarama version of the song. I found the disc good overall. Their regular version of "Cruel Summer" was okay, but the Big Bonus Mix was disappointing. Had I known what I was getting for my money, I would...

Jenny Berggren, who's finally in the light where she belongs, proves that she can sing better than anyone in her path. Linn also does a great job on Every Time It Rains. In all, this is the soundtrack to our past, present, and future!

5.0 out of 5 stars More to offer, July 31, 2002

The four tracks that are siphoned off the boring American release I downloaded from the website (legally). All the tracks that have met that "Cruel" fate could fill a whole CD or even a box set. They are also paydirt for bootleggers (I'm not condoning it at all). However, for the hard copy, it may be worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST YET!!!, April 6, 2001

This album is the best work of Ace of Base yet. Remember the days of "The Sign" and "Don't Turn Around", back when Ace of Base made songs following the same drumbeat in every song? Well, If that annoyed you, I promise you that after listening to songs like "Life Is A Flower", "Doctor Sun", "Captain Nemo", "Cecilia", "I Pray", and "Always Have, Always Will", you will see what a variety there is in this album, no two songs are alike, that is one thing that makes it so special. It is very unique, and jumpy at times, but this proves that Ace of Base put a real, and serious effort into their work, and for that, they should be proud. Give it up for Ace of Base!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite Ace Of Base album !, June 27, 2005

I already said in the review of "Cruel Summer" that I love Ace Of Base. This is the ORIGINAL european version and it is AWESOME. I can't believe how much I love this album being a eurodance music lover. I love almost all the tracks here, and it is much better than "Cruel Summer". The track "Life Is A Flower" is one of the best. It has a typical Ace Of Base sound, mixing successfully pop and dance music. It is much better than the version on "Cruel Summer" called "Whenever You're Near Me". Tracks in the same style are "Dr. Sun", "I Pray" and "He Decides". The first 2 are only on this album (not on "Cruel Summer") and "He Decides" is awesome, so much better than the awful version in "Cruel Summer". Some more pop tracks are "Cruel Summer", "Always Have Always Will", "Adventures In Paradise" and "Donnie", this track makes me understand why Ace Of Base is often compared to ABBA. And of course, you have some great dance tracks, "Cecilia", "Tokyo Girl" and my personal favourite track on the album "Travel To Romantis". This track is pure eurodance, it's really not what Ace Of Base do but since I love eurodance it is my favourite, it may not be your favourite but you might like it. This version is again so much better than the one on "Cruel Summer". The remix of Cruel Summer (Big Bonus Mix) is another great eurodance track much better than the (Blazin' Rhythm Remix) on the "Cruel Summer" album. Personally I didn't like much "Captain Nemo" and "Don't Go Away" but forget this - it's just a matter of taste and any Ace Of Base fan will probably like them. This CD deserves 5 stars as being my favourite Ace Of Base album and being a non-eurodance album (well, at least most of it) that I simply love. Highly recommended ; DON'T buy "Cruel Summer", buy this "Flowers", you won't be disappointed !
