5.0 out of 5 stars Superb cd set from Ice House, December 19, 2003
By
This review is from: Flowers / Man of Colours (Audio CD)
Iva Davies has to be one of the most UNDER RATED muscians/song writers of the last 25 years. This great 2 cd set features Flowers (the name Ice house used but had to change it due to another Aussie band that had the samw name and didn't want to confuse people) and also features Man of Colours from 1987 and Flowers released in 1980. Both cd are newly remastered and both also include bonus tracks. These 2 superb albums are worth asking price. Icehouse is one of the best bands EVER to come out of Australia is the last 20 or so years. This set is recommended to anyone who loves Icehouse or great 80's music in general. I would like to quickly point out when Ice House re-recorded the first album for the U.S. market it was completely mixed differently I found the Aussie version (Flowers) to be a bit more heavier and when it was released in the USA under the name IceHouse it had a cover of an open window with a hand sticking out. One of the Best always from the Great Southern Land.
