"Only what I have lost is what I possess forever",

This review is from: Flowers of Perhaps: Selected Poems of Ra'hel (Paperback)
This translation by the late Robert Friend of the Hebrew poet Ra'hel ( Rachel) gives a real sense of the poignance, beauty and depth of her work. She was a pioneering Hebrew poet, and also a pioneering settler (Chalutz) in the land of Israel. Her short tragic and painfully lonely life is reflected in her small and memorable poems.
