Cooking the Floyd way is fun!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Floyd on France (Paperback)
In my view, Floyd is the man who taught a generation to cook; to cook properly, that is. His many television appearances have helped those who struggled with, in the case of this book, french and mediterranean food, thinking it either 'difficult' or 'too garlicky'. Cooking the Floyd way is fun! And if you find his television shows chaotic and manic, his books, though reflecting the man's enthousiasm, are easy to use and entirely correct in translating the recipes to paper. Pity we don't see him on the telly anymore; could anyone tell me what happened to his Scandinavian series?

I wish I had known about Floyd sooner. His food and his method of presenting is great, unpretentious and interesting. He clearly loves food and makes it an experience of life as well as sustenance. We need more Floyds instead of the very fussy peculiar presenters we seem to be getting now. I will be using this book a great deal. Healthy as well as indulgent.
