4.0 out of 5 stars No More Turning Away
Well, I started playing guitar about 3 years ago. So I realized that I love Pink Floyd songs (that was a little bit late when talking about a band that old!)! No more Joe Satriani's, Steve Vai's, Eric Clapton's, Rolling Stones' songs! David Gilmour's melodic guitar is what I think the maximum of playing guitar! On The Turning Away song has a great solo just like also...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not really for guitarists
This is not a tabulature book. You'll get musical notes and instructions for chords, but when it gets down to the likely reason you purchased the book, to play David Gilmour's awesome solos, this book will not help you. There will not even be musical sight reading for guitar solos, just a chords pattern and a note telling you to "improvise guitar solo." It does however...

This review is from: Pink Floyd A Moment Lapse Of Reason Piano/Vocal/Guitar (Paperback)
On The Turning Away song has a great solo just like also Sorrow! No matter how good guitar player you are, how techniques you apply, how old or new your guitar instrument is, you always will want to play like David Gilmour: right notes in the right time! And this songbook (as the others of Pink Floyd) will help you a lot! Have a big fun, pal!

This review is from: Pink Floyd A Moment Lapse Of Reason Piano/Vocal/Guitar (Paperback)
This is not a tabulature book. You'll get musical notes and instructions for chords, but when it gets down to the likely reason you purchased the book, to play David Gilmour's awesome solos, this book will not help you. There will not even be musical sight reading for guitar solos, just a chords pattern and a note telling you to "improvise guitar solo." It does however go well for pianists/keyboards because that aspect seems pretty fleshed out, and I like the print/layout design. I just wished there was a warning ahead of time for purchasing that I would not get to learn out to play those gorgeous guitar leads "Sorrow", "On The Turning Away" or "Yet Another Movie." For future buyers, this is your warning: this is not a TAB book.
