Fluance BiPolar Sound Satellite Speakers AV-BP2,

I recently wanted to replace my rear surround speakers in my home theatre. I done alot of research and decided on the bipolar style speakers. When I found Fluance I was immediately impressed with the quality and reviews that they were receiving. I ordered a pair and installed them. At first I didn't realize much difference, but once they were in use for a short period of time they opened up...wow...they fill the room with quality sound...They improved my surround sound in my home theatre by about 100%. They work wonderfully with music too! I highly recommend these speakers. They are in a class with much more expensive speakers that I have listened to in show rooms. I am definately going to buy more speaker systems for my house from Fluance!

This review is from: Fluance AVBP2 Bipolar Surround Sound Satellite Speakers (Electronics)
I bought these after hearing a friend's Fluance AVHTB+ Surround Sound Home Theater 5 Speaker System 5.1 system. I was planning on an upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1. My speakers were all Wharfedale, but Wharfedale no longer makes the bipolar surround I wanted, so I thought I would try these as my side surrounds until I could find something that matched my Wharfedale Vanguard based system better.I was blown away! These inexpensive little surround satellites timbre matched very closely with my Wharfedales and they sound amazing! The ferro-fluid cooled neodynium tweeters are sharp and precise without being etchy, scratchy, or fatiguing. The mid-range is smooth and solid, full without being bloated. In my room the base from these rolls off at about 125, so I did have to raise the crossover point on my sub to 120. But everything blended smoothly from there and I am super pleased. Could you use these without a sub? No. But so what, that's not what they are intended for. If you appreciate the qualities that a good bipolar design brings to the surround positions, then you owe it to yourself to give these a listen. They may or may not match the timbre of your existing speakers as well as they did mine, but for the price they are simply a must listen! My search is done, and these will remain on my walls for a LONG time. |
