Lights, Camera, Action!, May 2, 2003

Here's a story that's not only erotic but will keep you in suspense too. Charlie Heggensford is just off the farm in Idaho. He's good-looking, sexy, and well-mannered, and about to enter the world of porn in L.A. working for the office of Fluffers, Inc. Charlie is not shy in the least, and starts his new job as a fluffer with gusto, and pleases the porn stars with a little too much enthusiasm, too quickly, and ends up displeasing the directors he's working for and ruining their filming. Charlie is infatuated with these stunning men, especially studly Rock Harding whom he falls in love with instantly. Charlie catches the wrath of Rock's director-lover, Cedric Wilmington who wants Charlie to stay away from his lover completely. The story turns into quite a mystery when a burglar breaks into the offices of Fluffers, Inc. Charlie is determined, with the help of a friend, to find out who has it in for the company and there reason for the burglary. Will Charlie find out who's responsible for the burglary and will his over-enthusiasm cost him his job? We soon find Charlie has set himself up for some wild & sensual experiences that he will never forget. This is a good erotic debut from an experienced writer in this field, who has written many erotic stories for many gay magazines. The story has a good plot, lots of imagination and plenty of erotic fantasy scenes. Take this one to the beach or enjoy it late at night at home. You will be looking forward to a sequel, like I am. Enjoy! Joe Hanssen

HELP WANTED KNEE-PADS REQUIRED, March 9, 2003
This review is from: Fluffers Inc.: A Novel (Paperback)
In this, his first novel, Hank Edwards has produced a somewhat "tongue (?)-in-cheek" look at the lives and loves of the mythical entity of porn film lore and legend - THE FLUFFER. The story opens with Charlie (looking as if he had just stepped off the cover of Farmer's Weekly) walking into the office of the Hollywood specialty agency run by Kinitia Jones, Fluffers, Inc. He has just arrived in L. A. and he is looking for a job. Kinitia's company services the needs of the film industry (both gay and straight) by getting the actors ready for the lights, camera and action of XXX movie making. Naturally, Charlie gets the job. Knowing that he is fully qualified for his new job ("No complaints so far!"); Charlie jumps into the action with spirit and gusto. Unfortunately, he's a bit of a lovable klutz, and he blows his first assignment by going down (all the way) on Rock Harding, the porn star lover of porn's nastiest director (and Kinitia's main competition), Cedric Wilmington. Anyway, the plot is a virtual shopping list of every conceivable variation of male/male sexual bonding cast with every possible body and personality type and costumed for every known fetish. (I wonder if the publisher supplies a check list to their authors?) Charlie's expertise grows along with his legend of being the ultimate porn klutz. But he is known and loved by all and even earns a nomination for a porn industry award. But watch out because there is skullduggery and dirty deeds lurking right behind all the sex. I doubt if anyone would read this book with one hand, but it was a bit of fun. And I could hear the author snickering if not laughing as he typed the manuscript. He even managed to set us up for a sequel. For its genre, I'll give FLUFFERS, INC. my **** rating. And that's without counting the pouty-lipped cover boy.

Hot, hot, hot, January 17, 2003
This review is from: Fluffers Inc.: A Novel (Paperback)
Fluffers Inc. is amazing. It's a non-stop erotic romp through the randy subculture of porno films, with a clever plot (yes, there is one!) and a lovable main character. I'm a fan of Hank Edwards, the author, who's written lots of short erotic fiction, published in all the best places! Hide this one when the folks come over. Think it can't be that good? Don't be a doubting Thomas, pick this one up and see for yourself.
