I have been a professional flooring installer for 28 years. I was happy with the simple rubber knee pads I have except that they wore out too quickly. I bought the Fluid Forms 1003F Patella Ts thinking that the fluid patella pad would be comfortable and thinking they would wear well. What I found was the straps were uncomfortably bulky when my knee was fully bent, which is how I am quite alot, and would probably strain my knee if I wore them all day. Which is unfortunate as straps do not get the wear and tear to necessitate being so bulky especially with TWO of them. The ones I wear have a single simple 2" elastic strap with Velcro and have never worn out before the pad. In fact I reuse the straps for other things. Thanks but no, I am returning mine until this strap issue is resolved.

I'm a union carpenter who's done all types of jobs. When I'm doing flooring or any job that requires kneeling for long periods of time, I need a "very reliable" pair of pads to save these aging knees. I've tried all types ranging from $4 to $60 in price, but few have provided the comfort and protection like that of Fluid Forms. I'ts a great idea for a design; especially, the fluid-filled pads. Unfortunately, the pressure from kneeling for extended periods causes the fluid to flow from one side of the pad to the other rendering the pads, virtually, useless. If only the designers could modify the pads to keep the fluid confined in the areas needed for extended wear, I could fully recommend these pads.

I am proud and grateful to say,"I wear Patella knee pads." I purchased my first pair two years ago, I wear then 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. I build custom log homes, and from the ground setting up, to the car decking finish, Patella keeps my knees safe and comfortable. But,,,, I'm only 5'6",140#, with a 28" waist, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!!! I can wrap the straps around my leg twice, I just barely get the velcro to stick. I have to wrap electrical tape around them to keep them fastend where I want them. Please!Please!!, Make a smaller size. Keep up the good work;

The actual knee cushion part is great but if they are around the side of your knee, your shins, your ankles, or the straps are binding and causing such pain you can't wear them, then they are useless. I've had these for a couple years and they are lousy. I was staining my hardwood floor and just decided to go bare kneed they were that uncomfortable. I've never been able to get them to fit properly and am constantly adjusting and restrapping. Total waste of money.

These are the best knee pads, you will ever wear. The durability and comfort are equal to none. If you have sore knees at the end of the day, this will change. If you consider what damage you do to your knees without proper support or protection, this product is a bargin.

I thought that these would be the best thing i could buy for my husband, who is a professional wood floor installer. He thought they looked great too! Until he tried to wear them to work. First problem was that they were so big around compared to his leg. He had to pull the velcro strap so far that there was hardly any strap to hook on and then there was all that extra strap getting in the way. They were much to big and bulky. A nice thin strap and they might have something!

Not worth the money,
This review is from: Fluid Forms 1003 Patella T, Advanced Knee Protection for Carpet and Tile Installers (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought these knee pads thinking they would be the best possible product for my needs. I am a professional floorcovering installer, and I rely on my knee pads to ensure that I will still be able to walk when I am 60. The Patellas are reasonably comfortable at first, but my flo packs wore out within a few weeks of daily use. Luckily, I was able to remove the flo packs to examine them, but my findings were a bit disturbing. After several painful days of using these pads beyond their useful lives, I removed the flo packs only to discover that the fluid within them seemed to have migrated to the very edges of the pack (where the knees are no longer supported). In addition, it appeared as if a bunch of the fluid was missing (there weren't any holes in the flo packs, but there seemed to be insufficient fluid to fill them). I finally removed the flo packs and replaced them with carpet pad (crude, but still better than nothing). My advice to anyone who spends most of his workday on his knees is to save his money and buy a cheap pair of knee pads that will last much longer. My last pair of Irwins lasted more than 8 months, they were more comfortable, and they were only $20 in the Home Depot bargain bin (probably not still available). Not worth the money.

i thought for how much money these cost and how much"technology" was supposed to be in these things they would be great. they suk. $20 rubber knee pads are 100 times better. these patella knee pads dont fit well, dont stay in place, slide down and hike my pant legs up, are bulk, and hurt when u kneel all teh way. the straps are so huge they kill the inside of your knees and the cups dont sit right on the patella. the cups are always rolled to one side or the other prob causing the damage tehy are meant to stop.

Best Knee Pads Around,

My husband is a carpenter, and has found himself not doing things that would require him to be on his knees. He suffers from digerative arthritis in both knees and has so much pain when he kneels down. With these knee pads his knees are no longer aching at the end of the day, and he can do things again that he hasn't done in months. I would recommend these to anyone, they are well worth the price.

Knee Pads,

Our purchase of your merchandise was just fine, however, pertaining to the merchandise, the items were not as advertised. One cannot wear the knee pads without pants or trousers, as the material will wear your skin off your knees. Additionally, they are not as soft as advertised.
