This review is from: Fluidity of Creation: Poetry of Love, Loss, and the Occult (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book a lot. It has everything that it needs to move your soul. You can relate to her poetry whether you are sorrowful, joyous or in between. And when a book has the power to move me, it is a good book. Jon

If you enjoy poetry that is sensual and mysterious; that moves, lulls, and excites the senses; that sends you instantly into a colorful world of past glories and future possibilities, this book is exactly what you need. The writer skillfully taps into the vast unconscious and pulls out the most powerful and scintillating imagery. There are passages that send me back, like a great historical novel - into an age of romance and drama. With subtle yet deep insight, she explores sexuality, love and life in a beautiful, flowing manner. Her words convey distinct human emotion, aspiration, pain and frailty yet leave ample room for my own personal interpretation. Here is a taste... "Molten lava flows in my veins, Burning a fresh trail along my tingling nerves. You whisper my name. Stroking my soul with your ethereal voice." (It's hard to choose a passage to illustrate her talent - there are so many...) Much more than erotic poetry, this work is spiritual, transcendental and filled with compassion for humanity. Dena L Moore is a writer whose next works I'll be eagerly looking for.

Poetry With a Bite.,

This is one of the best poetry books I have ever read. The poetry flows wonderfully and a lot of them have a twist that will not you for a loop and make you think. "Waterfall" for example takes you up the side of the of the waterfall, looks around, and then drops you into the waterfall with an ending that is amazing. Dena L Moore is an ispiration to me and I think she will be an inspiration to everyone who reads her book. Fluidity of Creation is a must read for all generations of poetry fans.

Poetry in Sidereal Motion,

Dena L. Moore's poetry seems to have the ability to change the motions of the stars. Moore rearranges primal thoughts -- much like the gods rearranged the constellations to tell humanity new stories. Such efforts as "Closure" and "Here I lie...Waiting" give us a more intense light to follow when we have lost our way in the darkness. ...

I have found that her writing moves me deeply and is very diverse. Poetry can be rather hum-drum at times. But, I find her work to be a revelation. She covers every aspect in life and beyond with beautiful words that flow from her mind. An excellent read!D.Whitmore |
