Look these are Fluke leads and that should count for something. Safety and build quality are top notch. The safety rating on these leads is 1000V CAT III / 600V CAT IV. That's pretty much top of the market, but not unique. The probes themselves are a reasonable length with probe tips that are sharp. The banana plugs have good shrouds and fit well. So these will suit most any application and serve you well. However what I don't like is the jackets. These probes (TL75) hover around the $20 mark and the Fluke TL71's hover around the $25. And yet when you unwind these out of the box, they retain that crinckle from being twist tied. The TL71s do not due to being made of silicone rubber. I find this to be very irritaing because it just promotes tangling and frustration especially in colder temperatures. Which is bad when working on something that could kill you. For $5 more you don't have this problem and get something of much higher quality. To be honest even I would say I'm being too critical here if it wasn't for the fact that for around $7 I picked up a set of Sinometer knock-off of the TL71s that are almost as good as them! And the key feature is they pretty well hang straight. I was shocked! I don't know what their made of but it's darn near tangle free. Frankly put, I prefer them to the TL75s that came with my Fluke meters for usability. But I will admit, that I trust the safety rating and quality of the TL75s more. If these are ever changed to be made of the same silcone rubber as the TL71s, then these are 5 star leads in my opinion. But as it stands, $20 for these is just too much.

Note I've inlcuded a hanging comparison with the Sinometer's, the TL75s, and the TL71s on the main product page.

These are supposed to be premium test leads, from a premium manufacturer, at a premium price. For the cost equal to the price of a lower-end autoranging multimeter I got way less than I expected.

PROS:
Cables are very nicely flexible; their flexibility is much better than of the stock leads sold with new Fluke meters. The softness is a huge plus. Cables have 10 Amps rating.

CONS:
Made of NON-US and US parts - very unfortunately, Fluke is moving to shores were labor and quality are cheap.

Banana plugs on the cables are poor quality. The 90° elbows are about 50% bigger than stock. They are made entirely of hard plastic material. The "flexing" end part of the elbow, where cable comes out, does not flex at all. Ironically, it does have the zigzag incisions at its end for full flexibility to protect the cable from stress when bending in sharp angles, but the plastic is rock hard, and so the cables are not protected at all. What were they thinking????

The metal cores of the banana plugs do not have the same crosscut splits as the stock plugs always do. Instead, the cores in Premium leads have a round metal "skirt" on them allowing the plug to freely spin around in the meter's socket upon insertion. The skirts act as "middlemen" providing additional intermediary surface of contact = extra resistance. There is no benefit of freely spinning plugs at the cost of additional intermittent resistance. What were they thinking????

Finally, I don't see any advantage of gray-colored probes. These are best left fully black and red.

Lack of flexibility on the end sleeves of angle plugs and the spinning skirted bananas were the deal breaker for me. My leads were sent back.

I just wanted to keep the 5 stars going. I am using these on my fluke 337 clamp meter. They wire used on these leads is like a really soft silicon that never holds tangles or kinks. They will always fall completely straight and tangle free, unlike the stiffer leads my testers came with. I didnt realize they were threaded for the AC175 aligator clips which i also picked up and come in really handy. I didn't think i would use the adjustable probe lenght feature since i had done with out it for so many years, but i find myself using it all the time. My only minor gripe would be the length of the reinforcement at the plug-in part. It is longer than my originals and makes fitting them in my pouch a little more akward. But since my old leads failed and split at that point, i am sure these will be more durable. One more thing, they are longer than stock leads. Its not too much, but enough they are more versatile. I love these. Its like using a whole new meter.

These are some of the best test leads around. They are Fluke's 4mm banana to 90 degree 4mm banana plug set. They are just about 3' in length and are made of high quality silcone rubber. This means they provide excellent saftey with a CAT IV rating but at the same time a pleasurable working experience since they don't hold shape following storage. Undo the twist tie and they fall free and straight! Beautiful!!! This is important to me since getting your probes tangled around switch gear is a recipe for utter disaster! With the opposite end being a straight 4mm banana plug, these can be adapted to a wide range of uses with 4mm plug style accessories. Large clamps, speciality probes, or daisy chaining test leads (with a coupler)are just a few options. They are pricey at around $25, but take care of them and they will last a lifetime! I wouldn't trade these for anything!
